hvac

hvac

my hvac is stuck on the floor setting. i have changed the hvac pannel but still doesnt work. everything else works i just cant change the mode control to change setting. any suggestions would be great.

As you probably know since you replaced the controls its vacuumed controlled. It gets stuck on a certain setting when the vacuum line has a leak. There is a threeway vacuum connector that is in the engine bay to the right of where the two a/c lines go through the firewall. Either the connector is broken or one of the lines around there might have rotted so check all of the vacuum connections in that area.

you were right. i opened the hood and right there was the broken check valve hidden behind some wires. thanx a lot. i had started to take apart the entire dash to see if the accuator valves had gone bad.
