Question Help...acceleration issues...

Hey guys, been reading this for a long while now, just have a question for ya.

I have a 95 3.4V6 camaro [mystic teal] with about 82K miles on it, I have owned her since 69K. Lately accelerating from 0-3K rpms has not been as smooth as it used to be. I try to accelerate, and it goes, but it seems to have some sort of resistence that causes it to studder.

For example, when accelearting at 2500rpms...instead of a steady smooth motion, it kinda jingles upward n downward slightly. Imagine the slight resistence you car would have on a mildly windy day with the windows open while trying to accelerate...its kinda like that. Now maybe most people wouldnt notice this, but it does not seem right.

I have never replaced the plugs n wires and have not had any problems with her before.

I was thinking maybe my fuel injectors need a lil cleaning...or maybe i do need new plugs/wires. WHat do you guys think?

A big thank you in advance to all those who reply.

I'm not an expert on cars, but when my blazer shook at low rpms it turned out that one of the plugs came loose. It wouldn't hurt to change them, do a tune-up if the previous owners hadn't done one in awhile.

82K miles isn't bad on a car of that year. My '98 has 72k I'm gaining on ya' though, . I hope you get it figured out.

oh, btw, doesn't autozone do free diagnostic checks?

Sounds like you could use a good tune-up and other regular maint. goodies.

Just spend some good quality weekend time with her and she'll be fine. Plugs, wires and fresh filters work wonders.

Many times you have studdering issues like that with your car it is time for a full tune up. Check the spark plugs and test the wires for right amount of resistance, check air filter, ect. You could take it to a shop and have all this done and i would be very suprised if it doesn't help. When cars start to studder that is usually the prob. And check the injectors.

I had something like that happen to me just last week, took it into the dealership. They replaced four of my wires, which isn't the first time.... and then told me it was one of the springs that it had been burnt and needed replacing also asked if i wanted to have them clean everything up for an additional 120. My little trip down there alone cost me 450 to get everything squared away. From what your describing it sounds like what was wrong with my car.

Sorry sounds like it needs a tune up. jsut do plugs wires, maybe even take the coils out check them at autozone with an ohmeter(they will do it for free) clean up the pints reinstall them with new plugs wires.

That is most likely your problem.

Next I woudl do the fuel filter.
