HEADERS for a 3.4L
hey everyone,
i am new to the forums so i was wonderin if u guys could help me out. i just recently bought my 94 camaro 3.4L. i love the car. but i dont love the fact that i am working on a high school budget and insurance is killing me. so far i have put on a flowmaster cat-back system which i was pleased with and a k&n air filter. i am looking at headers now. i was wondering if u guys could recommend any and maybe tell me the approx. cost (in canadian dollars) and how much hp they would add. thanks. peace

Re: HEADERS for a 3.4L
Dunno about the price, but I would suggust the Pacesetter Ceramic Coated Headers. I am considering buying them sometime too. Don't expect too much of a hp gain, but I would assume it would help. After Headers you should gut your catalytic converter or buy a high flow one.
Re: HEADERS for a 3.4L
I blieve pacesetters is the only one that makes headers for the 3.4L if I'm not misstaken. Unless you want to go completely custom and have some one fabricate you some. So you really only have two choices leave the stock exhast manifold or go to pacesetter. I plan on putting some of their headers on my 3.4L bring them down to a big 3" high flow magnaflow cat and back to a 3" one in two out 80 seriers flowmaster muffler. Should be doing that some time around summer working on getting some new wheels and tires for my camaro.
Re: HEADERS for a 3.4L
the RK sport headers are nice peices, thick flnages where the header meets the head, a nice ceramic coat, however the flanges where they meet the Y pipe are not the best, they are just flat 2 bolt flanges (as in a not ball joint for the flange) they are known to leak, i have not have any bad luck with mine however
