**Mods**- I put this in the wheel/tire form and didnt get any reply since most people here have a V8 so I'm asking the V6 guys what they recomend.

I need replacement tires for the 16x8 5 spoke wheels, I have winter tires on different wheels so I'd like something low profile, that gives great wet handling and good dry weather traction with minimal under roll in turns and cornoring.
245/50/R16 H rated if possible. (thats what size I have now)

Also I'd like to keep the total under $550

Any idea's?

Check on Tirerack.com to see what Kumho has in that size, if anything. I've got Kumho 712s on my ZR1s, and i love them.. i'm just not sure if they have anything in your size.

i have a set of nitto 450 235/45/16's IIRC on the back of my car, i believe they were around 100$ each on tirerack.com , they work fine in the rain, ive driven in 4" of snow with not many troubles and they hook fine for my purposes (ive cut a 2.1 60' time)

2nd vote for the kumho 712's. Good tire for the price.

 

712s dont have as high of a wet rating as compared to the Kumho ASX's.. I have those on my Camaro -- I love em! Cant beat em, best bang for your buck all-season -- though I wont use them in the snow :P

 

i'm looking at those 712's right now, their pretty nice for summer tires and not a bad deal.

Hankook ventus sport K104's.....similar to kuhmo 712s, usually cheaper too.
