gears
how much would it cost to upgrade my rear end to the 3.23 or 3.42 gears? does the LSD come w/ these or is that separate? if gas mileage is an issue too, which would you recommend out of the 2? also, how complicated of an install is that to do? thanks for the help.

im going to switch to the 3.42's ill have to by my lsd cause im getting a whole rear end off a stock z probable. its not gonna be easy instal but i changed the rear end on my moms 95 when she got it its not impossible
Not sure but in Canada, I can get the gears for $200.00, 4 hour install @$50.00/hour plus recalibrating the speedometer, and that's where it gets complicated.
If you have 3.23's now, I would recommend spending the money you were going to put towards gears and get a 2800rmp stall torque converter and aluminum 1 pc driveshaft(they'll come to a bit more).
Either that or jump to 3.73's. YOu'll lose top end and highway driveability though.
It's just a lot of hassel to only jump one notch...and there are a lot of fast autos and manuals with 3.23 gears.
Get the converter!
