Then i started to hear knocking when i was driving. it felt right behind me or right in the middle of the counsole, and it only happens when i go over 25 mph. i looked all on the outside, suspension, and under the hood. i cant really tell whats wrong. if anyone can help please.

Carrier bearing. the V-6's have a 2 piece drive shaft. and to support the middle, they used a rubber mounted bearing. if that goes out the shaft will hit the tunnel. Right now would prolly be a good time to switch to a 1 piece.

What year is your car? If it is older than 5 years or so I would also say carrier bearing. Switch to the one piece before is starts to sound real ****y. Besides that the one peice is also a small performance upgrade anyway. Check out www.driveshaftshop.com

Could be the trans mount gone bad.
get under the car and when it's cooled down, push up with your hand(use 'some' force) in the DS right behind the yolk (where it exits the trans) if the whole thing moves up, it's the mount

I would replace it with a 1 piece, mine went out and started tearing up my pinion seal, causeing me to lose soem differential fluid, causing my rear end eventually blow out. Causing me to upgrade to a 1 piece, 3.42s, LSD, and 4 wheel disc, cutting a few 1/10ths off my time.

Now if its yoru tranny mount, do you have a 5-speed? If so you can physiclly see the shift *** pop a good 1 in. or 3 in the air under load. And it will most likely only make noise under a hard initial loud.

Where a driveshaft will make noise troughtout the RPMS.

Wait was it really that terrible a thing?
