Gauge modification?

There's this really nice gauge from NewEraPerformance.com. The only problem is that it's for a Z-28. My question is.... Is there anyway that I can fit the gauge into a V6 Camaro.... and if so do I have to modify anything in order for it too work properly... and how do I get around to doing that?

Thanks,
Paul

It would physically fit but the it wouldn't read right since our gauge goes up to a lower speed than the Z28.

So...yes it will fit but won't be correct. You can correct this by having the PCM adjusted but I have yet to find a willing dealership.

Programmer MIGHT work for you...didn't catch your car's year.

It's a 2k1. Will just the speedometer not work or will all the gauges be off.

I am not sure about the oil pressure and temp gauge (I think they will read properly). The tach, fuel, and battery gauges should read right.

AFAIK The speedo is the only one that won't read right. That would be annoying though and cause you to get some tickets.

Thats a def. But the gauge looks sooo nice. I wonder if there is a way to change the gauge so it'll read properly?

I mean look how nice it is: http://www.neweraperformanceparts.co...34-rig-151.jpg

They make reverse glow gauges (that exact style you showed) for V6s if that's what you want the V8 gauges for.

I thought they did make them.

The only V6 ones I can find are the 93-96 ones.
