Fuel Line Disconect

I have a 94 3.4 Im pulling the motor, how do you disconect the fuel lines from the plenum, it looks like theres a split but no way to release it. Is a special tool needed.

Re: Fuel Line Disconect

Gotta remove the retaining bolt on the plenum itself, disconnect the fuel lines near the coil packs, then remove a bolt on the fuel line retaining clamps on the fuel rail. Swing the retaining clamp out of the way, and the fuel lines slide right out. Might take some coaxing, but be careful, they're easy to bend. Good luck!
(BTW, relieve the fuel pressure first!)
