A/C Compressor

Can the A/C compresson be bypassed on a 95 3.4? I just don't have the extra money laying around to fix it right now and it is shot. Someone suggested that we could buy a smaller belt and just bypass it? Will this work? And has anyone done it?

Re: A/C Compressor

Yea you should not have any trouble finding a belt that will fit with out the A/C in the loop.
I did it on my V6, but with the AIR pump and not the A/C.

Re: A/C Compressor

Thanks for the reply. We did have a little bit of trouble finding the right size was either too tight or too big. We ended up making one a little tight work.
