I use Vavoline Synthetic and ACDelco filters on my 3.4, and I have 112K. I switched to Synthetic at about 106K. It didn't hurt my engine and I don't have leaks, it's just a myth as long as your engine isn't screwed up in the first place.

i finally changed my oil with the help of a friend, and let me tell you, we had a hard time getting the jack under this car to lift it up and put those lift things under it, let me tell you my dad was PISSED!! "YOU COULD HAVE BEEN CRUSHED!!!!!!" oh well, im not now am I? he tells me i should learn more about cars, and he wants me to take classes, but he wont let me change my oil oh well, ill do it anyway!
