Fan kicking in late

Today my car was idling for 15 minutes or so and the motor got up to around 240 (somewhere along that #) anyway, my fan finally kicked on and took her down to 200, I don't think it's ever gotten that hot, any comments or suggestions?? thanks

you know this would be better posted in the v6 section....

either way my car was the same... takes forever for fan to kick in its complety normal.

Want your car to run cool, do a TB bypass, flush radiotatr put in a 160* stat, and run watter wetter, and very little coolant, and lots of water. Even with my cooling fan disconnected my car would not over heat

I would be careful doing all those if you live in a cold climate and will be dong winter driving, in fact I am slightly worried of over cooling this ciming winter and I live in florida.

btw, I to have a 94 Chevy Camaro.

I installed a fan switch mod today. It works good. Although I don't see any difference in 1/4mile time.. lol

yea, if you get a switch for the fan, you can just turn it on whenever u want.

I would put in a manual fan switch but I would just forget about it and my motor would end up over heating
