Ever heard of this prob?
ok, i have a 95 3.4 v6 auto, recently after work i got in my car and i turned the key to start the engine, when the key reached the accessory position the radio and stuff came on like normal, but then when the key reached the start position the radio and accessories went OFF! and the car would not start, it didnt click, turnover or anything, just NOTHING, well i read around and figured it was the ignition switch, so i replaced the ignition switch on the steering column (what a pain in the ***) and when i got it all back together, EXACT same thing happened, well i decided since i had dash apart to pull the radio and check the wires, to make sure nothing was touching or crossing that shouldnt be touching, everything looked fine, i tried to start my car and all the sudden it started, well now ive noticed that even when the doors are open and the key is NOT in the ignition at ALL, the radio still has power, i can turn it off and on with no key in at all, and doors wide open, why is the radio getting constant power all the sudden? why was my car not starting like that? whats wrong? please help, thanks
The first part where the toys turn on and then when you go to start it nothing hapens sounds like a bad battery connection like a loose or crusty battery termanal. I see that a lot, just like what you have there.
When you have stuff that is intermiten like that it is usaly a bad conection. So, pull your battery termanals off and clean them with a wire brush.
For your radio saying on like that try puting in your old ignition switch back in, only if your radio is making your batt go dead or some thing bad like that.
