Question dual exhaust????

Im 16 and lookin to purchase a 98-02 v6 firebird in the next 2 weeks, i am looking at a 98 bird that has everything i want except the dealer i talked to says it doesnt have dual exhaust, i was planning on doing exhaust mods anyway but i have heard various tales of "flowmasters suck on f bodies" ect. i was wandering what the best exhaust for that car is and would the mods be easier if it had stock duals. (i want it loud and deep as possible) thanks man

ok its a v6 wont be that deep
most duel exaust on all fbods arent full duel just duel outlet
flowmaster is decent im sure some ppl will reccomend the best
but it gets raspy in the upper rpms should get a full cat back,
and headers, and a larger i pipe for deeper sound without the rasp.

I can e-mail you what a 3.8L with a flowmaster muffler sounds like.

Everyone seems to compliment me on it, and I have done no other exhaust work yet. Flowmaster is the most aggressive on the V6, especially for cost. But you also for getting aggressive have to live with some resonance, and cackle. Neither bother me at all.

I prefer the Magnaflow, but only if done correctly. Mine is 3" piping from the cat to muffler, then 2.5" out. it's deep and it doesn't have that baffle like the flows do.

There are quite a lot of options you can go with.

1. Flowmaster 80 series muffler 17357 or 17358 on a 3.8L 1997+

(comes with dual exhaust tips, 3" chromes.. i run this on my car, and it sounds great throughout the RPM range. pictures can be viewed at http://www.v6firefury.com/exhaust/

*This exhaust will make your car sound like a V8 to the untrained ear/eye. However, people said that on the 3.8L they become ricey at high rpms...

2. SLP Loudmouth - by far the loudest exhaust you can get on your car! This is sometimes too loud...

3. RK Sport 93-00 V6 Rear Exhaust Section W/Oval Tips
Part # RK01096407 - $273.99 at fasttoys.net

4. Borla B&B Cat Back (MOST EXPENSIVE!)

5. Magnaflow 98-02 3.8L V6 Camaro/Firebird System
Part #: MAG15693 - $379.99 (at fasttoys.net)

Hope this info helps...
