Differences in fuel pumps

What are the differences in a fuel pump for a 3.4 v6 car, an LT1 car and a 3.8 car?

I am asking because the fuel gauge in my LT1 car is screwed up. It is halfway converted to an LS1 car, so I have a 99 cluster. I have a complete assembly out of a 99+ v6 car. I just wanted to swap the v6 assembly into the LT1 car and hope that it still works for the LS1 setup.

Any ideas?

They are radically different. I think an LT1 has 4 lines while the v6 has 3. I've seen them side by side and I know they are different.
