Post Did they make a 30th V6?

Friend is looking at a 1997 Green Camaro, with 30th ann. seats, red calipers, with a 3800 motor. and says 30th in the seats. I looked on car fax and came back with front damage, Did they make a 30th ann. V6?

Yes, they made a 30th V6 that was white in color w/hugger orange stripes. Not sure about interior options, etc. I do know that all '97's got the 30th logos embroidered in the headrests.

I believe that the embroidered headrests was at least an option. My brother-in-law has a 97 Z28, not the anniversary model, but his headrests are embroidered.

Actually, no, there were no V6 30th Anniversary Camaro's. The actual 30th Anniversay package included the white exterior w/orange stripes, white wheels (chrome were optional), houndstooth interior (solid white leather optional), and it was ONLY available on the Z28 or SS.

However, Fin is correct that all '97 Camaro's got the 30th Anniversary logos on the headrests as well as the front floor mats.

Yup, my brother has a 97 V6 Camaro vert, and his headrests say "30th" on them. I don't ever remember seeing a 30th Anniversary packaged V6.

Not exactly. Yes, the '97 model year is the 30th anniversary year of the Camaro and ALL '97 Camaro's got 30th anniversary emblems on the headrests and floormats, but that doesn't make all '97's 30th Aniversary Editions. Once again, the 30th Anniversay package was a solid white Z28 or SS with orange stripes, white wheels (optional chrome), and houndstooth interior (optional white leather). If the '97 Camaro was NOT equipped with the Anniversary Package I just described, then it is NOT an Anniversary Edition.

AND Floormats? I have never heard of this. I thought it was just the headrests for the V6's... Otherwise I'd like to know who the heck changed out my floor mats

Red face

I'm double checking the '97 Camaro Sales Brochure now. It looks like I may be mistaken on the floormats for ALL '97 Camaro's...but I'm not sure. It does specify that ALL '97 Camaro's got the 30th Anniversary Logo on the Headrests and back seat, but it only states that the actual 30th Anniversary Package equipped Z28/SS also got the 30th Anniversary floor mats. But, I seem to remember test driving a '97 that wasn't a 30th Anniversary Edition and noticing the 30th Anniversary floor mats, so I am no longer 100% sure about the floor mat issue.

Will others that own '97's pleaes chime in with what's on your mats?
