Did LT1 - What to do about fuel pump?
Did LT1 - What to do about fuel pump?
I did the 3.4 to LT1 swap. Everything is working great. I was told that the V6 fuel pump did not have enough capacity (either in volume or pressure or something else) for the LT1. My question is can I use an inline pump, if so what should I get. I want to avoid having to drop the fuel tank and replace the stock pump.

Re: Did LT1 - What to do about fuel pump?
I've got over 20k miles on my LT1 since the swap and the first 10k was running on the V6 pump only. I have heard that they are the same pump. I never had any problems. When I went to a little N20 I added an inline pump. The V6 pump is still in the tank to this day. Before the inline pump was added I was putting down 356rwhp running 12.80s. The inline was really only added for security with the N20.

you can replace it with a walbro or something similar, around 150-180 i think, my friend just did it in his lt1, and he didnt have to drop the rear end or nothing, we found a different way to do it, you cut a hole and go through the top, its about 3 hrs of work and a lot easier i can give u the link to the walkthrough if u need it
