crankshaft pulley removal
ok so i finally got the tools and what not but i still dont have an impact wrench to get the pulley of so when im using a close ended socket with a crv ratchet the engine turns with the belt...any suggestions..? im trying to get to the crankshaft sensor that is why the mess for all this
well ive been at it for 45mins tryin to take the crank pulley bolt off with a ratchet, no luuck at all just keeps spinnin...shoould I be trying to take it off normally :lefty loosy?? im finding im going to have to break down and buy a impact hammer any info/suggestions?.....
you don't need an impact wrench put the belt around pulley let it start to wrap over itself when you turn the motor the way it would go when turning puller maybe have someone else to hold it put the ratchet on it and either hit ratchet with a hammer or put a pipe on it for more leverage you could also put a pipe or 2x4 through belt to hold it but make sure belt is wrapped around pulley enough to hold it
and bolt is lefty loosey
and bolt is lefty loosey
