Don't laugh, my oil levels are all off because I have an after market oil dipstick. Can someone please measure the one from their Camaro 3.4L V6 from the tip to the inner cap for me? Mine is adjustable, so once I know the proper length, I can keep a better eye on the oil level. This is off of a 1993 Camaro.

 

here is as easier way do a complete oil change on your car. REplace the filter and drain all the oil that you can out of it. Pour in exactly 4 qts. of oil and start the car. Thats your low point on the dip stick. Now pour in another qt. or oil and that is your high point. Simple as pie no need to pull out the tape measure.

 

crasher has a good idea, but you might wanna do it with 3 Qts then add another to get it to 4 total.. since our engines only take 4 quarts

 

no the 3.4l takes exactly 5 quarts of oil. + or - a tiny bit depending on the oil filter that you use.

 

strange... ive allways put 4 quarts in my car, and ive had it for 6 years, and changed the oil every 3,000 miles or so

 

I always used 4qts in my Camaro as well.

 

I've always put 5 in mine...

 

mine and my friend's 94 3.4 both take exactly 5

 

I also have always used about 5 quarts.

 

i use about 4 1/4-1/2 qts for my 95 3.4L..

1993-1994: 4.3 Quarts
1995 (3.4): 5.0 Quarts
