Question Anyone put TA ground effects on a firebird??

I just bought some TA ground effects from a 2001 TA. And i have a 99 v6 with no ground effects. I noticed that the TA piece has clips that would attach into the top of the rocker panel. I would assume that the body shop would have to drill holes in my rocker panel? Is this an easy mod? Right now i have only the passenger side. I have a few dents in my rocker panel will this make the mod harder? Should i just go with the wings west side skirts? I might sell the TA GFX if anyone needs it? Hit me back. Thanks

Just to let you know, i have them on my firebird. All you need to do to install them, it jsut take the clips off the top side, and just use the tabs on the bottom. Just use self tapping screws to attach them from the bottom side, and one on the front, and thats all it takes. I had a body shop do it, because my car was there for other stuff, and i helped the guy do it. It works best if you get a friend to help you. Just like up hte front end, and have your friend hold the back, and start the screws in the rear end, because usually the side of the car is longer than the rocker panel, so you'll have to pull on it to stretch it. You don't even have to jack up the car to put them on. Its very easy, and if you don't like them, you can take them off, and you won't be able to see where they were because the holes are on the bottom. I was initially afraid that they might fall off or break by not being held on at the top, but so far so good. Been a few months since they've been on, and i havent' had a problem. Just don't kick them with your shoe getting in and out of the car. There will be a very slight minor gap on the top edge, but its not noticible. The gap where the door and fender meet, is 100 times more noticible than the gap that will be there. If you need anymore information or if you want pictures just e-mail me.

I'm sorry this got so long.

x.
