99 3.8 ASR module tripping and engine stalls
Hi...Have a 99 3.8L and here's the problem:
The daytime running lamp module fried a couple of months ago due to a short in the hot wire going to ground when the harness frayed against the frame of the car. That was replaced with a new one but, since then, the car will intermittently trip the asr module and then stall out. I wait a minute or 2 and the car starts right back up again. No codes come up on the scanner (autoxray 5000). I pulled the dashboard and checked the entire harness from end to end. Could not find any other shorts/ opens/ etc. All voltages going to the ASR, ABS, and BCM are normal and wire resistances appear to be within tolerances (considering the crappy wire GM uses).
Any Ideas will be appreciated..thanks much,
MIke
