95-97 CAI on 2000?

I keep watching these on ebay for $35 and wondering why they won;t work on a 1998 & newer model, they dont look much different, the CAI's for the 98 & newer camaro are selling for over $100, would be nice to save $65, even if I had to rig it up somehow.

you could make it work but why, the lid is a much better design for the straight throttle body. why not just do the fre ram air mod.... pics at post #5 http://www.fbodyonline.com/forum/f18...uestion-66359/

Re: 95-97 CAI on 2000?

oh yeah, I forgot about he lids, thanks!! I've done the Freee Ram air a long time ago & didn't notice any difference, now I'll be looking for a used Lid, teh K&N are just way too expensive.

do you know if the V8 lids can be used on a v6?
Edit, I found out the V8 lid is differnt from the V6, the v8 will not work.
