95 3.4 Won't start

I have a 1995 3.4 camaro with 210,000 miles. The car will not start. It shut it off about 2 hrs ago and it was running fine. Now suddenly it will not "crank" at all. Like nothing is happening. What could be some causes of that? Please help!!!

Sounds like the crankshaft sensor, the front 24x controls timing during idle and start. Without it the engine will not start or run.

I had a 95 3.4 as well. Make sure and check the easy stuff like your battery cables and whatnot. If its not even cranking, its not getting juice so w/ any luck you could tighten em or clean some corrosion that might have built up on there. I've had more startup issues be due to loose/dirty battery cables.
Good luck

this is just a suggestion, i had a 94 3.4L and i also had a similar problem. my car was running fine. all gauges in the norm and nothing out of the ordinary. i went to start it after it sat for about an hour and nothing happened. i had power but the motor wouldnt even turn. i pulled the starter and took it to a shop and told me it was definately the starter. i put it all back together and still nothing happend. at this point i took it to the dealership. if you notice the metal strip on your ignition key, for security purposes. mine had gotten worn over 12 years and needed to be replaced. reliable chevrolet charged me 400 for a set of new keys but it now would start and run perfectly.

I have actually thought about that since I had been having trouble with the security feature a while back. I was afraid it would be a costly repair this time. I swear this car is just one giant head ache. Thanks!!

Before you go to the dealer to get a set of keys, and spend the high *** dealer cost, check around 4 a locksmith.. I got my key made for 25 dollars.. Much cheaper than the dealer.. And no wait.

Thanks I never thought of that. It's puzzling me. It starts fine now. I drove it for a short time today and it was fine. I just don't want to get stuck somewhere and end up with another high towing bill. Thanks for everyone's help.
