gotta love the 3.73s. i plan on getting mine installed real soon myself.
they actually dont make your car faster like you think. they get you out of the hole QUICKER, but not faster. the reason you see the difference in the speedometer is cause it NEEDS to be RECALIBRATED. this is how you can tell. tell a friend of yours to drive next to you and only go 35-45-55- whatever (pick one) drive next to him and see what your speedometer is telling you. it will prolly be 8 mph off. thats when reprogramming the computer comes into play. it would definatley fix that, but you know how hard it is to do that. for my car i am forced to by a hypertech power programmer which cost $350 to fix that problem along with the wrong shift points and other things. i am not sure if they have one for your car, being that everything i have ever looked for was for my 2000.
how does it feel when you launch your car? that is where you should feel it. you will actually fall short in long races, and the rpms will be ungodly high. remember you really dont want to drive constant at 3000 rpms.
have fun with those gears, i plan to. btw, how $$$ for install?

What were your old gears?
And now your speedo is off, so you weren't realy going 81mph you were going less than 81.

Speedo recalibrator does not work on the V6es, no matter what SLP tells you. Best bet is to buy the JET SCU, but it won't fix shift points, just the speedo.

Nino, i agree that in a long race 3.73 will lose, EXCEPT if you get your pcm programmed from zooomer and have him adjust the shift points and remove the governer than the 3.73 will kick major a** the whole way, man i cant even imagine how hard the car would pull with 3.73 and having the shift points to match, man thats going to be sweet. One more thing goblin i am not being an a** but watch out with getting a cheap tc, torque converters are a hit and miss type of mod, you either get one thats kicks major butt or you get one that just plain sux, i also wouldnt get a tc with less than a 3200 stall n/a trust me i had a 2800 and they are ok but you will be much happier with 3000+
