13's N/A!

Race weight 3090
W/O driver 2900 even!

Rear tire- 23 psi
Front tire- 50 psi
Front shock setting 1
Rear shock setting 9
1-12 settings (1 being loosest 12 being stiffest)

Run 1
R/T.....520
60......1.932
330.....5.729
1/8.....8.927
mph.....76.82
1000....11.707
1/4.....14.076
mph.....94.95

Stalled to 2900 rpm and let lose.

Run 2
R/T.....201
60......1.951
330.....5.738
1/8.....8.940
mph.....76.62
1000....11.727
1/4.....14.100
mph.....94.82

Stalled to 3,000 rpm's and brakes didn't hold fully and rolled a bit and ended up being 2,800 launch

Run 3
R/T.....-.156
60......2.135
330.....6.082
1/8.....9.172
mph.....???
1000....11.970
1/4.....14.360
mph.....94.03

Stalled to 2,800... brakes never held and rolled through the light, I let off, then flashed the verter from 1,500

R/T.....206
60......1.918
330.....5.669
1/8.....8.833
mph.....77.57
1000....11.588
1/4.....13.931 <--- WOO HOO!!!!!!
mph.....96.07 <--- WOO HOO!!!!!

Dead hooked, 3,000 rpm launch, just boogied!

R/T.....072
60......1.921
330.....5.686
1/8.....8.873
mph.....77.01
1000....11.643
1/4.....14.000 <--- OWNED!
mph.....95.54

2,900 rpm launch, just couldn't get to 3,000

I have found that the brake fluid is VERY dark which is why I find myself creeping forward when I stall to 3,000 rpm's.

I will be flushing the entire system in prep for next week nitrous racing.

I'm SOOOO excited about going 13's N/A!!!

Keep in mind, I built a NITROUS car, NOT N/A!!!

3:23 gears!
STOCK cam!
unported TB!

This completes 1 of my goals for this year.

I weighed the car and saw 2900 w/o driver, I left my helmet and a couple other items in there so it will see 2800's this year. Seeing 2,8XX's on the scale is another goal.

Then, 3rd goal... 11's obviously!

Weather was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!
High 40's, Low 50's

I think I might actually be able to creep into the high 13.8's. If I address the brake fluid issue and can stall to 3,000 rpm's and maybe higher that is key!

Spraying for 11's next weekend!

Re: 13's N/A!

how much NO2 are you putting on that thing? what trans, rear-end? And what all did you do to get 13's with an auto V6?

Re: 13's N/A!

Ill let James tell you want he has but you dont have to have nitrous to run 13's in a V6. the quickest ive run so far is a 13.30@102.44 in 3000+ DA all motor, at sea level it should run 12's. All it takes is a good combination in motor/suspension/etc. just like any car.

Re: 13's N/A!

Well i'm sure your mods are pretty extensive to get a 13.3 in a V6. But don't you think.... I wonder how fast i would be if you started with a V8? I can't talk too much trash though cause your car is a lot faster than mine

I don't see the reason to talk any trash to these V6 guys. None of them claim a V6 is a better platform to go fast than a V8. They are just having fun going quick with less.

Re: 13's N/A!

Its nice to see what these v6's can do. Nice times man.

Thats my goal before this coming up summer is to be into the 13's without touching the motor. I have been 15.01 in hot, near 100% humidity, lid, exhaust, HBHRacing's "mod", slipping clutch, hanging brakes(dont ask), open rear 3.23's with a 2.12 60'...not bad I think. I should run a 14.85 or so with a good clutch and weather. Next week we should be out of the upper 80 degree weather with the 95%+ humidity and I will head back to the track....cool front coming through south Louisiana next week! just in time for the Thunder Racing shootout!

I have since installed the DIS-4 and I have 3.73's a and posi sitting here in my room which SHOULD be good for low 14's. With a couple g's in suspension, DR's, and computer tuning, Harlan(HBHRacing) and I are shooting for the first ever(as far as we know) 13 sec v6 without ever opening up or touching the motor.

Then I've got a date next summer with ZZ up in Michigan for a badass n/a motor to drop in for 12's on just the motor.

to run a 13 w/a stock motor you will need some real sticky tires, you will have to pull the belt, and probably need more than a 3.73 gear. Good luck with the project though!! Im pretty sure ill be in the 12's when i go down to sea level with my combo.

Re: 13's N/A!

Well thats why I said DR's...I think its possible. Its a given with heads, cam, ect to hit 13's...but this is my DD and we are videoing all the runs as we get close to 13's.
