Re: z28 vs R/T???

I almost cant believe that. You need to get new tires. The rights tires and you should be hooking up in first and second gear.

Or you just need to go a little easier into the throttle, and dont JAM the pedal back down after a shift, go to mid throttle and work it to full over a short period ( Half second ) instead of laying the pedal to the floor.

There is no reason that car should even come remotely close to your car.

And no mileage doesnt make that big of a difference.

There are alot of bone stock guys on here with over 100K on their cars that are pulling 13.8's and 13.9's without any performance mods. Just good driving. However, there are also heads cam 383 strokers that are running high 12's, so as you can see first hand with your traction issue, driver error is the biggest determinant.

Lets be realistic here guys.

They are a High 15 second car. They suck. They are not impressive. He was in the wrong gear for the first incident.

Even junky *** bone-stock AOD 5.0's runner better than that.

This car DOES NOT smoke any GT Mustangs or Camaros or Vettes. He plays with himself and that is all there is too it.

Re: z28 vs R/T???

My brother had one a few years back..it was ugly. He swore up and down it would do well.

So I raced him...let him punch it first AND gave him a 3 car lead...passed him like he was sitting still.

In my wifes V6 Mustang.

Word. I can't believe this is even a serious question. The R/T's are slow junk, and you will smoke him. I don't think I believe the part about spinning your tires through first and second gear. I can hook up in first gear on snow tires. Take some driving lessons and kick his ***.

Re: z28 vs R/T???

i street raced the r/t at a red light. I smoked him pretty bad, I didnt know I would have taken him that bad, after 3rd gear I had about 2 cars between us. Then we had to stop for another light. Were gonna hit the track in 2 weeks, and my friends gonna record it, ill put the video here if anyone wants to see it.

Re: z28 vs R/T???

Honestly, you should have had at least 6 or 7 to the top of 2nd. Top of 3rd gear you should have had at least AT LEAST 10-12 car lengths.

Does you car seem to be running right? Those things are NOT fast. Not at all. I mean, you should have KILLED that thing BIG TIME.

Congrats on the win though ...

And again, im not tryin to be on your case about it ... I just think maybe something is up cause he shouldnt be anywhere near that close to you.

Re: z28 vs R/T???

hi hardcore, i dont know if you ever drove one of those, or raced one but they are not as slow as you said they are. Ive seen him beat an 04 automatic mustang gt by a little bit so they are not that bad.
After all they have the eclipse gts/3000 gt engine in them + racing suspension and dual friction clutch, its not like they have a 4 cylinder.

Re: z28 vs R/T???

Are you sure you're not confusing the Stratus r/t with the Intrepid r/t? The Intrepid r/t has a 242 hp v6 that might give you a decent run, but the Stratus r/t only has 200 hp and should not be ANY competition to you. You should beat it by 7-8 lengths easy.

Re: z28 vs R/T???

its not an intrepid, its a stratus RT, also I dont think an intrepid rt is faster than a stratus rt since the stratus RT is a stick and intrepids are all autos.
