This might throw off the topic but I know every now and then I watch drag races on t.v. and I've seen the cars their break in 4 seconds quarter mile...Has anyone on the bike has been able to break 4 seconds in the quarter mile?

NHRA pro stock bikes go low 7s i believe....but then again the only vehicles running faster are 1500 hp pro stockers and 7000 hp funny cars/top fuelers.

Ok two points here.

1. If he can't ride for ****, then yeah take him from a dig, if you get far enough ahead he won't be able to catch you. If he is a newbie then I wouldn't worry about it because he is going to be so nervous that he will make an abortion out of his launch.

2. The reason that cars can do better against a bike in a roll is aerodynamics. Believe it or not the cars have the advantage here. The faster you start the roll the better your chances are. There are only a few bikes that have the aero's for really hi speeds.

The YZF is a decent bike, but I would doubt it would be in the low 150's up top, most likely in the 140's(even is he says 150's the speedos suck on most bikes). The top of the line 600's are running in mid 150's to low 160's so I don't see the YZF600 getting in the mid to upper 150's. If you want to have a good chance in a roll tell him to start the roll up high, if you are cool with it at about 110 or so, maybe more if your car is stable.

Fortunatly for me the Busa is just fine at these speeds for a roll, it's up around a 140 or more roll that I will be fighting the wind.

I hope you smoke him, I hate riders that talk **** and don't knwo what they are talking about. One more thing.....most riders(NOT ALL OF THEM) that have YZF600's(not the R6) will be newer riders, therefore his skill won't be that great. I wouldn't worry about it from a dig like I said or from a higher speed roll.

Let me know what happens.

I guess I could post a new topic about this, but are there any Hi horsepower cars in the Western Massachusetts area that you guys know of. I love these videos we see of things like the Busa vs Viper and all that and wish we could have fun up here. All the South Western people get all the fun.
