What's up with this behavior?

rant

Is it just a reflex reaction to run away when you see a fast car on the street (highway)? People out there are surely excitable.

Lately, as soon as I get close to a potential run - a modified 'stang, an LS1 f-body, etc. - the person driving it decides to show off by racing off. This isn't The Fast and the Furious; I'm not going to chase someone weaving through traffic and underneath semis to start a race at 90 mph. How the **** are we going to know who has what if we don't ever line 'em up?

Has anyone else observed this behavior? SLOW DOWN when you want to engage in a race. We aren't rushing to a job interview. You want open road in front of you so that the race is safer and lasts longer. Stop running away; that "catch me if you can" **** is foolish.

SLOW DOWN if you want to play!

I know what you mean Chris.
I think its more inexperienced people that have the desire to race , but have never been shown how.

Funny...lol

This stuff happens all the time. The minute I think I might get a race, I either get a fly-by or this type of crap. The way I see it, I'm not wasting more gas/ or a possible speeding ticket or a wreck to catch some dumba$$ that I would demolish anyways. Sadly, rice has finally arrived full force in my area, so I'd imagine it will start happening to me much more .
