From a roll, A4's suck. The M6 evenly modded will win. From a stop, even on the streets, I will take a stalled A4. Because then your going to be trying to play catch up.

With a 3000 stall, lca's and BFG DR's, at launch I feel myself getting thrown to the right more than to the back of my seat. But then again I'm a ***** whipped bitch.

And about that Mach 1, good luck, this will be depend a lot on the drivers. The Mach 1's aren't slouches.

Have you evern been to a 1/4-mile track before to see what most of the serious cars there use for a transmission?

F.Y.I., 3/5 4th gens. have automatic transmissions. I guess we're all ***** whipped bitches.
I said as a street car. If I was building a track only car I would almost definatly do with a built auto. Your's doesnt look so serious, and inless you are competitively racing it, having an auto is not something you need. There are alot of high horse power stick shift vehicles out there too. Regardless, you need to lay off my ***. I never said anything about you, or anyone on here with a F-Body. Mustangs in general are a bitch/mid-life crisis car ... And the Autos are that much worse cause they are significantly slower.

And did I ever say anything about F-Body drivers? Theres a HUGE difference between auto and manual mustangs. There is NO real difference in performance between auto F-Bodies and manuals.

That said, I stand behind my origional statement that the majority of those who buy an automatic mustang with a V8 are a bunch of ***** whipped bitches.

O and one more thing ...

F.Y.I. ~ Delete your double post.

Klypto ... So you think I am an idiot huh? All because I said that most people that buy autos are ***** whipped bitches ... Look around. Most of them are. The majority of automatic equipped V8 Mustangs are the ones that old men and chicks are driving. I like how you call me an idiot when you dont even know me. I never talked to you on this board before ... But for what its worth, I would bet my life that I know significantly more than you about cars/engines/trannys in general.

Re: What do u think, Me Vs. 2003 Mustang Mach1

I think your kind of slow ...

Read my posts before you get ****ty.

As I already pointed out ... There is a HUGE difference in performance from an auto Mustang GT and a manual. However, there is next to no difference in performance between a manual and automatic F-Body. That said, if your buying a auto Mustang then yes ...

I seen a auto Mustang GT, 05', that had flowmasters on it and a CAI. The thing was a dog. No low end power to it. He took it to the track, came of the line really good, and could run a best of like 14.2 or 14.3 at 99 mph. This is at a track that had good prep, isn't that heigh of an elevation, and where LT1 cars are consistantly (at or near stock) running high 13's with a similar 60 ft time.

And from what I have heard, this is pretty common for the auto GT's still.

My cousin works at a dealership and he said the same thing. Automatics just arent staying in their powerband like they should.

I never said a word about F-Bodies that are autos ... Or GN's ...

it will probly be very close, by looking in your sig, your times are very un-impressive for an ls1, esspecialy the mph. what's the elevation you raced at? this race could go either way.

Completely stock auto Mach's have run both a little faster & a little slower than the ET listed in your sig.

I suggest you simply take it to the track & find-out one way or the other...

They buy them cause they dont know how to drive a stick/convince them selves its not practical. For a street car, I could never see buying an automatic sports car ...
wow. I have a 6 spd, but for the drag strip there's nothing like a stalled auto. just aim and shoot. a stalled auto is also fun just to drive around town. a good stall has your ears at full pleasure while driving around town. I'd still keep buying 6 spds because i like the .50 6th gear and i like shifting, but you wouldn't have any problems getting me behond the wheel of a stalled auto all day long. i'm sure many feel this way

BlackZTPI, I guess you didnt read the rest of my post(s) ...

Not that it should suprise me. It seems like everyone who posted on here read half of what I said, and took offense because I said most of the drivers of automatic V8 Mustangs are a bunch of bitches. Funny how that works. Bash an auto mustang, which in no way is comparable to a auto F-Body and all the guys with automatics get pissed. If their SOOOOOOO great, then stop taking offense to what I said about the automatic MUSTANGS being a ****ing bitch car 9/10 times.

Re: What do u think, Me Vs. 2003 Mustang Mach1

And what really kills me is that I would bet my life on it that you guys have NEVER drove both to have side by side, stock comparisons, which I DID ...

The auto GT's are lame as ****. Maybe with a good stall or something they might be better, I dont know. But I do know that the only people I seen driving them in Autos around here are old men and girls ...

And as I said, on the flip side, an auto F-Body is awful ****ing close to an M6 car ... I have nothing against them because they can back it up. But come on ... The mustangs, the autos are consistantly significantly slower in the 1/4. You guys need to stop getting so god damn defensive. Inless you are ashamed of something? And you should have nothing to be ashamed of having an auto F-Body ... But again, lets read half of what I post, then flame me. Thats really cool to do. I feel like I am in high school all over again. Half the people get half the **** right and the other half run their mouths like a bunch of women.

I dont know what the Elevation is at The Grove, I do know the driver is A big guy and could go for some Wt. Reduction my self but, then im still a tall guy.
<shrug>
Still the cold hard facts of life

EDIT: It was HOT that day too, im told that can affect it, nor did i really let the car cool down from the drive there. it ws 4 back to back runs.

there could be alot of factors why i ran what i did. but im not makeing Ricer like exuses why i ran what i ran.

If thats an LT1 MPH, i wounder what LT1's where running that day. as i beat them time wise(just dont recall by how much). and ther was only one other LS1{Z28} there that day. think he was runing 13.4ish but his car was not stock, forgot what all he told me.

Re: What do u think, Me Vs. 2003 Mustang Mach1

Those tings can make a huge difference all combined ...

I can tell that my car feels significantly less responsive on a 90* day over a 55-60ish day.

Humidity makes a big difference too ...

And hot lapping it is only going to add to the problem.

I could easily see that setting you back some time.

And cutting a good 60ft time is one of the most critical parts to getting a good E.T.

i said the mph of a stock lt1, not the "et." anyway i was just curious what the low mph was about. sry i wasen't trying to be a dick or anything.
