10 hp per 100 lbs. is pretty much the rule of thumb.
<Maybe a 2007 GTO? Remember that heavy *** land yatch?>
This is now the funniest thing I've ever heard, read or seen. Used to be that monkey drinking his own pee had the top spot, but seeing the owner of a 98 Mustang GT dog the GTO is waaay funnier.
New rule: If you own a mid 90s mustang, don't trash talk....ever
FYI- My 04 "land yacht" ran 13.3@104 before the mods....I know that's not mustang territory, but I was pretty impressed.

You're my new hero because you *** raped a 97 yesterday. Wow.... I'm impressed
Who's behind the pack? When I go to the track, I don't seem to feel like I'm 10 years behind at all.
I think the new Chevy models are supercharged from the factory for this year, however, ....... oh wait a minute, they aren't making anything but that bad *** Impala *** and a few other little turds.

Not to be an *** but if you can go out and buy yourself a 2007 Camaro I'd like to see it. Or perhaps a 2007 TransAM? Maybe a 2007 GTO? Remember that heavy *** land yatch? Muahahahaha.

I think you might be able to buy a 2007/2008 Chevy Cavalier "SS" with a supacharga! Wooo Hoooo!

With all the new models coming out in the next couple years i hope for all the mustang lovers out there that ford steps it up a notch, they are about 10 years behind the pack now...Who knows i would maybe own one if they ever were able to hang with the ls cars. Well if i had to bet on it i will be owning chevys for a while...Not being an *** here just an honest opinion backed up by past performance.

I dont think the mustang guys have anything to worry about. You just got to get the right model but theres a huge aftermarket that just completly blows away the GM aftermarket. The mustang aftermarket is on par with the Honda aftermarket. There are so many possibillities in building a new mustang its unreal. If you dont beleive me pick up a MM&FF mag and look at all the ad's for different parts available.
But getting back on the topic. LT1 and 3V GT's are a drivers race and when you ad mods its who has the best combo.
Both have their pro's and con's. Some people like big N/A power while some people like engines already set up with a blower/turbo and built to handle alot of boost. Where you can do a few upgrades and make insane power and still be streetable.
Try making a 800 hp N/A small block streetable.But everyone knows about 800-1000hp boosted cars that are streetable.
5.0 magizine made 800hp with a new GT500 with a blower upgrade and a few other mods.

I was under the impression that the GT500 was supposed to compete with the C6 Corvette. They run similar times, even though the 'vette has 100 less hp. The Ford GT and the C6 Z06 also seem to run really close even though th GT doubles the price tag.
. Granted only 3 particular version of that ZL-1 were produced and had a $90K price tag but what the hell.
