come on now guys, you want me to explain why I beat a car that I know I shouldn't have? I know it sounds like BS, but why would I lie about it? I have nothing to gain, all of you guys out there have probly beat other cars that should have smoked you, right? after all the thread states "track kill stories" and those are the two that I am most proud of. I could have listed the kills on me..TT Supra, Z06, Carrera S, some punk kid in a honda?
The thing that I love is this is my daily driver and I can usually put a hurting on most thing running down the road, and still be able to do it all day long. but there is still alot of cars running around here that I know when to tuck my tail between my legs and run, now when I finish m vette I hope to have a better leg to stand on with the super-cars.
But as for raising such a big stink about beating a car that I shouldn't have....I guess I don't know what to say. sorry.

I felt like the race with the evo was legit, normally when I race I don't try to launch very hard because I usually end up killing the tires, but this time I got a really good lauch, both runs, and like I said he was right there at my door for a long time, alot longer than most rice runners, I really didn't start top get away from him until 80+ why he fell off after that I don't know, I didn't ask him. all he wanted to do was look under my hood. He flat out called me a liar.
All I can say about my car is its history, I found it online one afternoon and it had only been in the listing for few hours, The miles it had on it alone caught my eye so I went and looked at it expecting it to be an automatic, but when I seen it and realized what it was I bought it without driving it, (I know kind of stupid) The lady I bought it from handed me a file on the car, all of the service records, everything from oil changes to every time she had it detailed, when I bought it she had put 81,000 miles on it, a real clean one owner.
And I know thats no excuse why I beat the evo, and I know its not the fastest camaro EVER! but it has surprised quite a few people, even me, and this ain't my first rodeo.

Ok, Im not saying that I have an LT4, but how do you tell, did they ever put an LT4 in the camaro's? I know they did in the Grand Sport vettes.
Maybe I'm just nieve but isn't the LT4 the same design as the LT1? just a different build? 330hp instead of 285hp.

Yep;If it has a red intake it's eather a lt4 or a painted lt1.

I got pulled by some import one day. I went to the track later that week with the laptop hooked up to run some diagnostics. It turned out that my throttle cable was loose and I was only getting 81% throttle. 
No downshift from the A4, no WOT, and no N2O. It felt like I was driving a four cylinder. I'm sure he was on some ricer forum later that week posting about how he beat some Corvette. It happens.

I think that you raced a Mitsubishi Lancer , but not an Evolution.
Im trying to be as understanding as I can, but that car would kill you in a hot second with spray. Evos are not your average ricer type import which Im sure you are aware since this is not your first rodeo. Did you get out and look at his setup?

I din't get to see his setup, He was there with another guy in a subaru wrx. he just lined up after I waxed the subaru. after the second run we pulled back into the parking lot and he got out talking about how I have had to have done something because he "always sends the camaro's and mustangs packing!" he has never lost to one, well he just did twice.
The only thing that I got out of him was there is no way a heavy sled of a camaro could bet his "EVO on spray"

The first one was an 06' mitsu Lancer EVO turbo w/NOS, we were pretty much door to door on both runs up till I got into third, and then I started to walk away, by the time I shut it down in fourth I had three cars on him.
And the second was a 97' SS camaro w/auto, he could eat me up off the line, he could pull about one and a half to two cars before I could start to reel him back in, but by the time I got to third I was back by him.
And just to add, my brother in law has a 95 cobra convertable that he has dumped alot of money into, full exhaust, intake, injectors.....and that is what I know about, he won't tell me about the other stuff, but I rode in it and I thought I was going to get killed, it felt damn fast, it would launch off the line, rev fast, bark the tires every shift, but when it came time to race I got him by two cars, with my A/C on, and alomst a full tank of gas. He whinned and complained about not getting traction so we went back and lined them up again, this time I turned the A/C off, and I spun the tires but I still got him by two+ cars. He hasn't said crap about cars since and I see him almost every day.

If he always sends mustangs and camaros packing, do you feel that you are faster than other camaros with your mods? Oh, and I am bieng more understanding, but still do not believe you put down an EVO spraying nitrous with the mods you have...or lack of mods. I dont doubt that you are acting on what the guy told you, but I think he was so full of **** its not even funny. Listen to my words.... Your car with a flowmaster muffler cannot run with a Mitsubishi Evolution with nitrous. Period...end of questions and story.

Mikie, please don't think I am trying to pull any crap over on anybody, maybe the guy has some problems with the car like rickreeves1 had with his vette. and I don't question that, I KNOW I SHOULD HAVE LOST. the reality of it is, just like when I got beat by the honda, I was pissed and was actualy caught off gaurd, but the facts are still the same he had to whine and cry the same as me all the way home.
I know I'm not up on all the foreign cars like I should be....maybe it's lack of interest? can anybody explain to me what the hell a "spoon engine" is? my cousin told me that is what the honda had in it, and I know I'm being kind of sarcastic but does it come with a "fork or knife engine"?
