On tv last weekend they were able to click off a 12.7 with an STI and their average q-mile time was a 13.1. This is with crappy drivers. I think a stock LS1 will have a hard time with them unless its from a roll.
does car and driver actually track test or do they use other instruments to measure ET.i heard they use the latter.
i have no doubt theyll run low 13s with ease.12s might be possible but not with a crappy driver like stated above.

Good loss. I give props to Subaru for making a car that has the ***** to match its appearance, as apposed to this new Honda Civic SiR that comes out looking like a "Honda hot rod" it can't even break into the 15s
First of all, the STI is sweet, no doubt. However,
I have no doubt about it that people are going to assume since their cars are AWD and super reliable Japanese hot rods, they're going to drop the clutch from redline at every launch and pretty soon it's going to be "WTF happened to my clutch and tranny?!"
If I were going to go for an AWD turbo 4 banger, DSM all the way. Easy to get those buggers into the 12s or 11s. Bye bye WRX
But LS1 + traction =
Should've run some slicks on the street in your LT1
I bet you would've hooked real good and at least hung with him.
Are the LS1 boys having trouble with these STIs?
