Schooled Evo

Just raced an evo last night. Man I had been dyn to for a while. We were doin about 5-10mph making a u turn at a stoplight
and he waited for me and we got nose to nose and punched it. He nosed out a bit until say maybe 35-40, and then my car began to pull and pull on him. By 80 mph he was in my rear view. I had my tops off and it was a blast. Then we stopped at the next light and I revved up and looked over. He shook his head. All I have is a K&N Filter and SLP Lid. It further prooved what a great car the Z28 is. For the price it really cannot be beat. The only car I would ever look at over it is a C5 or a Viper for domestics. Now if I could just find an STi lookin for some fun

here in southern cali a buddy of mine has an sti. I guess it doesn't matter since you are a little far away. I want to see someone stomp him though his dad got him the car and he thinks he is hot stuff. Good luck finding one, nice kill.

What year do you drive? A stockish LT1 will have a tough time with an STi from any speeds, even an LS1 is going to have trouble against a well-driven STi from a dead stop. From a roll is a different story though.

Nice kill. I've started to notice alot of Evos/STis running around NoVa.

Your right bluntdogg from a roll is a different story. I made some poor guy feel really really stupid in a new sti from a roll. He looked so cocky I did'nt feel one ounce of remorse spraying a 200shot on him. It was down right ugly. oh well

be glad you got him from a roll, i raced one the other night and he pulled 2 on me off the line, (02 z28) but at 90 i blew past him and shut down at 120. LS1 was just too much at high speed. Easyiest way to beat evo is from a roll, those things have incredible traction off the line, very tough to keep up(for me anyways). Good kill.

w/ a 200 shot low 11's babing it out of the hole. One time w/ a slightly larger shot I did a very high 10 second peepee dance. That was only 1 time and only 1 time. she is apart right now getting a rebuild w/ the forged stuff, amazingly everything looked ok in there. A sts turbo and a baby shot a wait the spring time I decided to leave out a 12 bolt from the buget in order to fund the turbo better, hey she see only see's minor track time.

Sounds like a nice project. Good luck with it ! Is that a single turbo setup or twin ? I bet the exhaust piping would be challenging with that.

I will be spraying my chevelle this next year with upto a 250 shot. It will be a first for me with the carb setup systems. I have to swap my cam out before spring and then the car should be in the low 12s N/A. I am estimating mid 10s on spray. Should be interesting since I don't have a cage yet.. LOL

Holy sweetness.

Are you building a 350, 355, or something bigger? What compression? What size turbo? What are you doing for an ECU?

Mr Bonus, Were looking at a 383, special grind cam, stock heads P/P, 9-1 compression, and 12 ponds of boost, w/ a baby 50-75 shot to keep things cool. www.eastcoastsupercharging.com will be doing the ecu tuning on there dyno when all is back together
