Reeled in C6
Reeled in C6
Driving home from the drags today, and i see a bright red C6 ahead of me in very light traffic on an open 4 lane. I pulled up beside it, and i saw it was an old man, like in his sixties, so im like crap, he wont do anything. so i pass by him and he floors it right after that passing me slowly with a big smile
. So i let him go. i was at the top of third gear, and he floored it. so i nailed it at around 4k rpms, we were the same distance from each other for a second, then i STARTED TO REEL HIM IN!!! i then passed him at the top of fourth, shifting into fifth as i did. The guy had his huge smile and a thumbs up, and i did the same. Good times.

Its cool to hear about old timers still doing there thing after all these years, a little scary to when i think about someone like my grandpa driving at high speeds. Its death- deifying at nomal speeds!
Re: Reeled in C6
I've got a good "Ole Timers" one for you.
My grandfather 4 years ago (82 at the time) was going down I465 around indy with his Wife (80) and Sister in Law (78) in his 305 Caprice. A Mustang was coming up on him quick and when the stang went to pass my grandpa goosed it alittle. The Stang slowed down looked at Grandpa (I would have loved to see that face) and Nailed it as did my Grandfather who "Slowly" pulled away. Mind you this is a L03 I believe 305 with on a good day 170hp. So it was obviously not a V8 Stang, but still.
Grandpa slowed down and the Mustang pulled up besides him, took a deep look inside and saw two little old ladies in the back, gave him a thumbs up, and started laughing his *** off. (As would I). Crazy old men!
