lightley modded yes not a bbc under the hood with heads and all the other goodies you say you have i have a few bolt ons!!!!!

$100 dollar block with boltons. and only $2400 for the car.

Bull you may have fallen into a deal on the block but a 100cuin overbored and stroked motor isn't a few boltons. Now if you were talking a 428 or 429 with boltons you would be near the truth.

Take a Gen III/IV GM block a 100 cubes over with a few boltons then compare.

you can build your hypothetical engine all you want, id still be happy to compare it to my REAL engine. 700HP with box stock (unported) STREET heads and a shift point below 6500RPM, i think even an expensive super stroker genIII/IV engine will have trouble matching a powerband like that.
Anyways, All im really trying to say is i dont understand when an LT1 owner always brings up the age of their cars when they beat a newer one, not just Mustangs, but when they beat LS1 cars as well. And the LT1 is always modded at that.

No kidding. Ive raced a couple in my 94 lt1 car. Raced a 96 Cobra, took him by a car and a half, raced, then the next night raced an 06 GT. Took him by a good 2 car lengths. All i have done at this point is K&N, and a catback. I was a bit surprised that the lt1 took down both. We argue about the LS1 and LT1. Gee id say the 06 ford 4.6's are about as good as the old TPI Motors. L98 = 4.6. Way to be 20 years behind.

I'm a chevy guy and have always been but when i see a super stock fairlane with a stick stand on the bumper, not wheelie bars but bumper, through 2nd and into 3rd it has my respect weather it wins or not. I might not like fords or even imports but i will give the individual car respect if it earns it

um........why would they not brag about a older $5,000 car beating up on brand new $25,000 Mustangs....Ford Mustang Gt's are a joke...300hp is not **** nowadays, the Mustang IMO is underpowered

if i went out and spent the $$$ and bought a new Stang(which i NEVER would) i would hope it would be able to beat its 10 year old competition, even with some mods, but it cant....so okay forget the mods , **** new Stangs can't even beat stock 98-02 LS1 f-body's.. Ford should have at least made the car be able to beat the last gen Camaro's

Mustangs are for girls, or old guys having midlife crisis and never had a fast car, so they think their 300hp Stang is the fastest thing on the road

Ford has left the power down because the cars you keep comparing it to were non existent for quite a few years. They had no reason to keep uping the power as there was no competition.

The 4.6L is 69 and 65 c.i. smaller respectively than its competitor and can compete depending on how many valves it has from the factory. A New Edge can compete stock for stock with an lt1 and a Mach1 can compete with a LS1. Does that mean the Ford guys can sling the displacement disadvantage around?

But who gives one crap about what stock cars can do? Last night at NYIRP there was a 4 run drought of F-bodies winning. Each time they lined up against a Mustang they lost. Does that all of a sudden mean the Ford guys are better? Hell no.

People keep telling me that a 2v is a joke and a waste of money but I keep on trying and thus far have surprised quite a few on both sides. Opinions like yours make the people who keep on racing laugh. You can talk all you want but at the end of the day you may just end up surprised.

You really know your car isnt **** compared to a equal year ls1.Just keep trying to say it is you clown. Mod for mod blah, blah ,blah, your car never was or never will be **** compared to equal year chevy power.
