No it wasn't for any money. I wish it was but most people around here don't like racing for money.

For the fun of it. I never race for money either. I have a job for earning money. The car hobby is to burn it.

Hell, even if its $20-$50 it helps pay for gas. Don't get me wrong racing for free is fun, but so is taking someone's money when they have a big mouth.

I've taken people's money before, but this time he didn't want to put anything down.

Good kill, I actually laughed out loud...There's a bunch of imports around here, some folks are cool car guys who just like imports and others are the tools you speak of...The ones who talk all kinds of smack with me all the time...I apparently was racing a VW the other night, but I didn't know it...and still beat him...I was just running some errands, he was running me...I wish I'd known...

Yeah, I have respect for anyone who takes pride in making their car faster and modding it, but when they think its faster than anything on the street, that's when they get on my nerves.

I can't really classify them as "Imports" either because there are quite a few domestic owners around here that act the same.

The same thing happened to me before. It was against a VW too!!!I was driving normal but he told a guy I work with that he kept up with me.My friend asked him if he was positive that if I was racing. He said I was definatly racing because my car was loud. Its got Borla run wide open so it loud under normal driving.

this is what you gotta do, when someone "claims" they have a 10sec civic or any other kind of car, tell them IF and thats a big IF they beat you, you will have no excuses on your lose and will give them props on beating a 12 sec. car.........But if they lose tell them (and make sure everyone hears this) that they also cannot have any excuses.

Even if i race a 16 sec civic and I lose because I broke something, I still won't use that as an excuse, only ask them for a rematch later on and congrates on there "victory"

Oh also tell them you hope to be reincarnated as a 10 sec timeslip, so you never have to see them again.
