I was wondering how a Mach 1 would be as fast as a Z28 (or SS) when the numbers on the LS1 are higher and the weight of the cars are similar? Supposedly the Mach has 305 hp and 320 tq at the flywheel, and the LS1's normally do that to the wheels, right, or are they under-rated also?

i am gonna speak on part of the 01 cobra 6speed with o-r hpipe bassani exhuast chip and pulleys up against my 95 z28. this was a friend of mine and we did 3 runs 2 form a dig. both dig runs i would jump in front from the go the at the end of first he would be at my rear tire, then all the way till 90 it stayed that way then he would walk me very bad, then the roll was at 45 and he walked me again. from 45 to 90 was about a car length is his favor. my car was stock!

2001 Mustang cobra's came from the factory with 5 speed manuals. The only way there is a 6 speed in it is if he swapped it in (pretty meaningless IMO) The 2003+ Mustang cobras came with 6 speed manuals from the factory

I watched a Mach 1 turn a 13.6 @ 104 with 1200 miles on the clock.. Was an 5 speed, bone stock, give it a couple more thousand miles and she'll get a bit quicker still.. Im not a Mustang guy but.. oooooo thats nice!!

I have a cai and I will be getting tuner saturday I think. Oh yah, I have the 04 cobra to go with it too. Next spring I should have the exhaust, and a ported supercharger

The mach! and the LS1 f-body xcars are on the same playing feild and so is the 99+GT cars w/ LT1 cars.

96-98GT's and about equal to L98's. my 305 has beaten a few 96-98GT's hardtop and vert.

You get a d+, bunches of stock LS-1s are in 12's with street tires. Mine went 12.88 on firehawks with a K&N filter in the factory airbox.
