Go back and reread Damon's suggestions
Go back and read the fact that I have never gotten that to work. ...and then go back and think of the possibility that I might be curious as to what Leatherneck's method might be. If you want to give me the money for some tires then bring them on....otherwise I'll just have to see what we can squeeeeeeze out of the ol' tax return this year.

Sorry, my bad, I forgot to read your mind also.
Anyways, enough with the wise@ss comments.
You have a problem getting good 60ft times and we are all trying to HELP you.

I don't know what type of setup leatherneck has on his car to hook so good but I would bet he has more power than you. That makes it a little easier to get better times along with upgraded suspension parts.

Here is your best time slip (from your website)

Reaction-----.9622
60 Ft.-------2.1280
330 Ft.------6.1292
1/8 ET-------9.3571
1/8 MPH------76.66
1000 ET------12.1310
1/4 ET-------14.5130
1/4 MPH------94.77

Your 1/4 MPH is kinda low. Even if you get your 60 fts down to 1.9X-2.0X; I don't see you breaking into the 13s without some more "power improving mods". Sorry but that's the truth.
I know people are getting better 60 fts than this but they are also getting worse. So you are about average. I had a 97 Z28 auto w/ a 2400 stall. The best I could get with that was a 1.9X. And I even had ET Streets on there. My 1/4 times were 13.9s at around 99-100 mph and I was never able to perfect the launch so I can only tell you what got me to that point.
You may not even have a problem with your technique; it may just be those cheap tires your running.

Get Santa to drop off a couple of drag radials and you should be set.

Merry Christmas,
Heavy

Without a set of Drag radials or E/T Streets with that converter you will sit and spin like you forgot to leave the water box.

What elevation is the track that you run on?

Something is wrong with those times.

For your mods 14.5 at 94mph? Even with that 60ft. Something is really wrong.

At Cecil County my car with a K&N and Flowmaster (Just the muffler not the cat back) went 13.550 @102.5 on a 2.0 60ft.

I wasn't trying to be a wise@ss, but you came off as one the way I read it.

That's an old slip in case you are wondering. lol, the guy that runs that site made it so we could have sites but then later took away the ability to update them or anything.

Newest number (literally the last run I made this year)

60' = 1.95
1/4 ET=14.26
1/4 MPH= 94.9

Quality of the air? Calculated elevation was 2500'

Hoping with either gears or some LT's to get in the 13's, but with our crappy air who knows. I know at sea level I would be in the high 13's at least.

No sweat guy.

If your best run netted you 94.9 mph than that altitude is what is killing your times OR your car just isn't making a whole lot of power. In that run, you got a 1.9 60 ft. That is not all that bad for a near stock LT-1. So since your 60 ft times were OK (but not great), I think you need to concentrate on mods to produce more power. You said your installing long tubes or gears, this will definately help you. If you do the LTs then spend the extra bucks and get a cutout! I know these are cheap and are proven to put more power to the rear wheels. And don't forget about the LT4 KM !!

When was the last time you ran diagnostics on your car?
You might have a bad sensor or catty or something...

later....

I think we'll be going with gears and electric cutout....since I came home from work one day and my wife stated that as being the fact! I would say altitude is the killer here as in the summer I was running with a stock LS1 A4 I believe, and BOTH of us ran a....you better sit down....14.95 at 93-94 mph. He might have had a liiiiiittle more mph, but don't have that slip handy. As far as the power issue goes I was kind of thrown through a loop the last time I dynoed. The first time I put down 255 rwhp and 281 rwtq. ....over the next year I didn't do much obviously, but the ignition, tranny rebuild with the shift kid and 2800, gutted cats, O2 simms. Already had the LT4 KM just in case the LT1 KM didn't like the flowmaster "truck" sound. Anyways, this time it put down 244 rwhp and 259rwtq with an A/F ratio sitting at a prety smooth 11.8. I think I'm going to try and get a new opti' as well FWIW. Thanks for the help/thoughts fellas.

Oh yeah, what about my stall? I don't know what kind it is, but my rebuild w/ it was $800 by a guy that worked at a tranny shop. He did it for half what the shop wanted and he even did the work there when everyone else was gone.
