My LT1 Vs. Another SRT-4

I dont know what it is but they cant get enough...this time once again coming home from work i decide to stop and get gas...as im pulling back out i see a SRT-4 rip past me...well up the highway a little me and him stop at a light...he looks over and im like lets go...he claims to have 350 hp at the wheel so im like alright it should be close...he guns this thing off the line and im actually nervous at first but then i just see him drop way back as my car takes off up the highway...i was shocked i thought he was gunna keep up a little better than that...i guess it was because it was from a stop.

I ran one a couple of years ago, it was a friend of a friend. He claimed it to be a "Stage II" whatever that means lol. I was exhaust/intake only and pulled so hard it made the dude driving the neon mad. We went from a dig and a 20.

People like that "P" me off as well. They put a blow drier on a weedeater and they act like it's a John Deere.

Good kill but if that was a 350rwhp car you would have been looking at his tail lights from far away. Your car is good for most likely 270-280rwhp on a really good day.

Good race none the less.

SRT-4s are all over in these parts. Some are fast, some arent. Ive taken a few down with the GN at Cecil. Also a Supra once or twice. They seem to respond to mods well, but the FWD is holding them back. Put any power donw and the break halfshafts. Nice cars, but its still a Neon.

Like any car the srt4 can be made very fast...and a probably cheaper than an lt1. None the less it seems most of the time the drivers of them are just so dumb and don't know what a real car feels like that they think their stock srt-4 w/ a cai can be z06's all days. Those are the ones who I enjoy just raping, open the cutout and listen to it echo off their car as you pull by...ahhh good times.

I have both an '05 SRT-4 with a built motor/big turbo and a '95 Z28 w/fully built 383...needs more cam, but still fully built, and from a dig the Camaro will jump out in front and stay there till the top of 3rd in the Neon, but from a roll kiss the little Neon goodbye...it runs 12.26's @ 118 with a 2.0 60ft @ only 18 psi all day long and the motors built to handle 30.Also, the "Neon" put down 442whp and 456wtq with only bolt ons and a bigger hairdryer.

I haven't had the Camaro to the track or dyno yet, but once I swap cams I'll take it to the track.

I love both cars. They're very different, but they're still American Muscle.

No offense but a 4 cyl vehicle will NEVER be American Muscle, I don't care if it's putting down 1000 hp. It's a NEON, plain and simple.

You don't associate the words "Neon" and American Muscle in the same sentence

Hey watch it there....next you'll be saying "turbo'd 6er's aint american muscle "...GNX...ahem..lol.

I love the srt-4's cause they can whip the S*** out of ANY fwd import in stock form. To me, that is damn good, plus they have a very good torque curve-almost like a V8, starts very low in the rpm's.

I still think dodge should make the srt-4 AWD, fix the suspension up a bit, lower it, add another 60-70hp......Evo/STi killer.

American Muscle, implies V8. If you try to say otherwise you need to got watch some DVD's of old school muscle cars.

The term Muscle car is thrown around like epic is on these boards. In this day and age it is used to classify stout vehicles that are fairly quick and domestic.

Back in the day if it did not have 396 plus c.i. then it was a "pony car". I wasn't even alive then either, so todays "muscle" is all I know.
