my 79 Z28 vs friend's 75 stingray

My friend just bought a 75 stingray, its in good condition just needs cosmetic work, like mine, we just cruised around last night but did alot of random 10 second burst races when no one else was around us, every race his front end was just behind my door. he's alittle upset to be losing to my camaro being stock to his full exhaust only stingray, anyways was great fun, also the fact i can say i raced a stingray =)

Re: my 79 Z28 vs friend's 75 stingray

I know a kid who has a 73' stingray w/ the 454, things hot like 400 lbs torque stock but only like 270hp. I could beat him everytime from a stop w/ intake/exhaust a4 93 firebird, tho he had street tires and spun like crazy on the launch on the street. From a roll he kept killing me, which I partially blame on the a4.
