Your sig says 13.7 @ 103.8.

That is certainly not assraping my lid/catback LS1, nor most others I've encountered. (At least, the ones with good drivers )

Yea, was before my headers/gears/1.6 roller rockers, I need to get back to the track for new times, I guess 2 cars by top of third really isn't an assraping, but i still beat em

LS1 car had a lid/****** rigged catback 3.23 auto, was a 99 z28 SS clone, around 60k miles if I recall correctly

And this is me racing a bone stock z28, also a 99, but a 6 speed, before all my mods, just whats in the sig

If he was keeping up with you either he was way more modded then he told you or it was an sti with mods. Stock wrx's with exhaust run 15'6 to 15'3s all day. Stis I believe stock are 14'3s our cars are around 14'2 so that leads me to believe it was an sti.

Wow, a lot of water under the bridge in the last 4 1/2 years since the last post in this thread...

Unless you're at extreme altitude, no WRX is a mid-high 15 second car. They're mid-low 14s, with the newer cars being on the quicker end. An STi is most definitely a mid 13 on a slow day.

My bigass truck runs in the 15s.

Yeah it's pretty awesome that our LT1's can still keep up with almost anything. My first 93 was bone stock besides a shift kit & cai, I raced a STI that must have been stock, but it was almost even from a roll up to 100mph he slowly pulled on me until he had about 1 full car length.

Wow. Where do you get your information? Even the older 2.0 WRXs were low 14 second cars stock and easily into the 13s with a tune/exhaust. STis have always been mid 13s or quicker stock. '09+ WRXs typically run mid/low 13s stock. It's almost like you have confused base (non-Turbo) Imprezas with WRXs and STis with old 2.0 WRXs.

Anyway, if you think stock WRXs run 15s, I know plenty of WRX owners who will be very happy to race any stock LT1 F-body you can muster up.

Yes, WRX's are faster than most people think. Their top end is really weak, but they can run suprisingly fast 1/4 mile times with a good driver behind the wheel. It's all about a high rpm launch. Lots of guys don't know how to launch them and they end up running slow track times.

My bone stock 02 WRX ran 14.0s in the 1/4 mile (with me driving - 4k rpm drop clutch launch). With just a manual boost controller, I had my WRX running
mid 13s. With intake, full exhaust, and a tune, I ran 13.3s @ 98 - 99 mph. But as you can see, my trap speeds were still pretty slow. The WRX is all about a fast 60' times.

STis have always been low to mid 13 sec cars (with a skilled driver in good track conditons). As mentioned, you need a high rpm launch (4-5k rpms) to pull it off. I pulled a 1.66 sec. 60' time (12.7 @ 105 mph) in a lightly modded (intake, exhaust, tune) 04 STi.
