There was a guy on the new "Pass Time" show on Speed that had a modded SL65. He ran times like you mentioned and was on ET Streets (which is weird to see on a Benz). He said he raced it almost every weekend. If I had the money, that's how I'd spend it.

They were racing in Chandler, AZ, so maybe it was even the same guy. That's a great show to watch if you like guessing timeslips too.

 

Yea, it would be nice to have the money...I would spend it that way too!! The slip I saw had like 1.6-1.7 60' times. I have a hard time believing he was not using some type of traction tire...but I don't know for sure if he was or what kind.
