i don't even know what to say, i kinda don't want to get into it all, but the only reason any of this got started is because of some biased opinions and some ****ty racing. I personally witnessed an ls1 (A4 i believe) get beat by a lt1 m6 i think it only had exhaust. why? because the ls1 was not taken care of had some nasty rattle from under the hood and the guy couldn't drive at all (almost backed into him lining up ). Does that mean that the lt1 is superior somehow, hell no. I beat an ls1 last night too, and also got my *** spanked by one that had way less mods than me but you know when it was all said and done i wasn't like "yeah well my car cost 6700 as is and you spent 20k" everyone just needs to chill out, last time i checked racing and modding was supposed to be fun. sorry for the long post

Why keep arguing about who's faster,,ls1 or lt1? I like them both, of course I have an lt1 and love it. Both are F-bodies and both have potential with the right mods and $$$. Save the arguments for the ford guys and ricers, this is like a civil war.

 

Ok, i raced an ls1 in my car before i put my headers on, he was an a4 and i am too, he has a shift also cause I installed it. I lost, but it was a fun race. basically why are we hating each other, lets all just hate mustangs and civics.................

Well this thread has certainly came back from the dead. Well since the last race I added roller rockers and have him beat now, and have added 2 04 GTO's to the kill list. Both GTO's were stock, completely. They are all still really close races. Too bad there is a whole stupid ls1 vs. lt1 competition in any thread, ruins a lot of threads.

Really, this has gone on long enough and been argued to death. Over years of deliberation we all know a cammed, supercharged, and sprayed LT1 doesn't even have a chance against a stock LS1. So leave it alone

That's not what I heard. What I keep hearing is how all stock LT1's run 13.6, LT1's all dyno 270 rwhp, CAI and cutout LT1's can destroy lid and catback LS1's and when racing uphill the LS1 will get walked badly by a LT1 regardless of mods.

And it must be true because I read it on the internet and LT1 owners wouldn't lie or exadurate.

 

This thread is dumb, Yes ls1 is faster but u pay more to get it the general theory stands

Lt1 $ < LS1 $

For the difference u can make them compete with eachother, its a matter of how much u wana pay for which design

They are both good engines, as I have said here before...

If I remember correctly the fastest stock lt1 was (97 SS?) 12.90

but be happy you have a f-body instead of a slow-stang

and you can let the whole up hill thing go... Or keep chuckling about it... whichever you want.
