Grand Am GTO. Its has and upgraded engine option. Kinda like how they use too with the Chevelle Malibu.

I just read a thread where someone went into a dealership and they wanted 30K and were not willing to adjust the price. For a bloated Cavalier/GrandAm... screw that!
GTO is a turd.

Hahaha Korray, they already have done this in other countries.

Other than in the USA, the GTO is referred to as the "Lumina SS" so there is your other name for it.

Re: LT1 vs 06 GTO

GM knows how to kill their good reputation names, like when the newer body impala (around year 2000) came out I was like what the f**k!, after 96 impala ss body the new impala seemed like a joke and now they are freakin daewoos with chevy badges. I dont even want to see the new chevelle( if it ever comes out again), itll probably be a cobalt with a ecotec 2.2 liter supercharged and 2 little hood scoops.

Re: LT1 vs 06 GTO

Dude, you truly are an idiot. I was respectful to you, but what's the point? Don't respect me or it, I don't care. You just want to flame. And I'm obviously not the only one here who thinks your a douche. Do you realize I only have a mild cam and a 100 shot? How much faster would your beloved LT1 be with those mods? Come up with a good one for me here. If running 11.89@120 mph on street tires with less than $2500 spent isn't worthy of your respect, then you're just a dipsh*t and it's no longer worth my time talking to you.

Oh, and btw, every new car ever built anywhere depreciates about 15% as soon as you drive it off the lot. Just like when you tried to attribute that poor dad's death to the GTO's IRS (like a total f*cking schmuck btw), it's got nothing to do with the GTO, just simply economics. Try knowing something, anything, before opening your mouth.

You are a perfect example of how that barge "under performs". 460rwhp and you are barely in the 11's. That's a joke. Especially with your slew of excuses that immediately follow. So yes... the car is a bore and takes an astronomical amount of power to run average times. It's a bore to look at and waaaay more expensive than I'd ever want to pay for a bloated garbage barge. As I've told you REPEATEDLY I could give two sh(ts what that garbage barge can do through the corners. My cars suit me just fine. Read familiar? It should since it's been mentioned a bazillion times.
So really... you've made a few revolutions w/in that circle you keep arguing your self into. What's left?

Re: LT1 vs 06 GTO

Actually that's not true. The Lumina SS is a 4 door car. Shares a lot with the GTO, but isn't the same car. The car I have is only known as the GTO and the Holden Monaro.

LMAO... as the original point stands... keep your ego and what you drive in separate corners or you'll get your feelings hurt.
That's what I've been trying to tell you, son. I DON'T respect the fact that it takes FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER to run high 11's and not even break 120mph. That doesn't even come close to earning my "respect". It's laughable at best!
No you... I have no idea who you are or what you are about therefore I have no idea whether I should respect you. But I DO NOT under any circumstances respect a garbage barge. Sorry.

Re: LT1 vs 06 GTO

My friend, you're dumb. Plain and simple. 11.89@120 mph with $2500 in mods on 245 series street tires is laughable? You just insulted a whole pile of people. Learn something about racing, please. You embarrass yourself. As if 460 rwhp automatically translates to low 11's @ 125 mph. Have you ever even made a pass at the strip? Have you ever tried to put down a lot of power on skinny street tires? I repeat, get a f*cking clue before you continue to talk. Does anyone else here think that 11.89@120 on 245 series street tires with only a mild cam and 100 shot is laughable? SSR, do you care that it was done on pump gas in 98 degree heat at 1600'. Nope, you just wanna be an ***. You succeeded in looking like an *** at least.
