I took one from a roll for bout 4 seconds of racing , in my LT1 w/410's and I was pulling him , not crazy fast , but pulling him nmone the less ..I know My LS1 would beat one . Maybe he wasnt stock . If you are geared , you should have took him ! They are very fast , they typiclly run a 13.3-13.8 . But you may be over geared . You are wasting your RPM range . BTW , I dont see how your car can hold the ground w/those gears . W/out drag radials .

What RPM is your A4 running at 60mph? I think you would be much happier with 3:73's.

is that at wot trottle or cruising speed, cruising speed its about 2100 rpms

at wot it usaually kicks out of 1st about around 45mph so my best guess is prbabbly about 5500-5800 i dont really know exactly havent had much time to really test it out yet..

On a street combo, 3.73s with ~3500 stall are killer. You would have been better with stock gears and a stall than 4.10s.
According to this http://www.f-body.org/gears/ he could do 112 mph in 3rd gear at 6000 rpm. He would be close or hitting 4th gear near the end. What does he trap? Maybe 107 mph?

Seems like everybody here is saying you went to far with the gears, well in any case I have to re-itterate, HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE WHEEL SPIN WITH 4.11 GEARS IN A LS1 ON STREET TIRES ON THE STREET. That must have been the perfect surface with the perfect street tire ant the perfect time with you applying the perfect amount of throttle. That makes racing AWD cars pretty depressing from a stop.

I ran a black EVO the other nite not sure if it was a 7 or 8 or whatever, don,t even know what that means...
I ran him from a roll cause I knew he had all wheel drive and I was on street tires.
He kept up pretty good for a bit but the faster we went the farther behind he got.
I rolled the window down at the next light to talk to him but he wouldn,t even look over.....
He did launch the car from the light and lets just say next time I run one of those cars I am going to have my Nittos......it launched HARD.

Very good point , My 3:42 setup spins at WOT and dont stop till I let off . And the tires are in good shape .

It was most likely an Evo 8 you raced. Stock they run good but with minor mods they can be a handfull. I ran one with a turboback exhaust, air/fuel controller and another minor thing or two and he beat me by about a car from a roll. As the speeds increased I was able to match his speed but not get ahead. I also was in the Evo with one of my 225lb buddies(read three full sized adults in the car) as he pulled my other buddies 98 Z28 six speed on the highway. These Evo's are running 20psi stock that tapers off as revs increase, if you get some electronics to keep that 20 psi throughout the range and get your air/fuel ratio under control they are enough to beat a lot of cars from a roll. That and the fact that they have AWD means it's a car to watch out for. Just because it has four doors doesn't mean it's slow
