Just wondering everyones track kills and if you had mods on ur lt1 please list if yours is an auto/manual and other things that might have helped you beat the car.

 

I have a list of kills from down in Indianapols. I went like 6-0 down there or something like that.

1.Hugger oragne 99-04 Mustang GT manual from a roll and I beat him pretty bad and he wouldnt race me anymore.
2. 96 lt1 Firebid 6-speed went from a stop and I put about 3 cars on him
3. New style Talon with bigger turbo, killed him from a stop and most times from a roll 1 time we went at like 50 from a roll and he pulled a nose on me.
4. Mid 90's Mustang GT went from a roll and killed him.
5. 99-04 Mustang GT went from a roll and stop and killed him both times.
6. Raced my buddy's 94 with headers and 3.23 gears, I still had my 2.73's back then and I put about 3 cars on him, he was an automatic also but with a performance tranny.
7. Nice Iroc Z and I still had stock tires, stall ate the tires up and had to get on and off the gas like 3 times but ended up putting like 3 cars on him.

I have yet to realistically lose in this car. The only time I got beat was when i raced my buddy's 6 speed, we went from a 50 mph roll so it took away some of my advantages like stall and Nitto's. All the kills listed above were with 2.73 gears and no tuning, and my tranny was acting a little funny.

 

Last day of season sept 26/04 SIR raceway 1900 feet above sea level.
Mods on car 96 z28 vert raceweight 3800 pounds spare tire /jack out 1/3 tank.Nitto drags radials.No track prep.High headwind.Other weather variables not recorded.

Run one,ran buddies 99 trans am ws6.His car has most bolt ons including long tube headers.No heads or cam,stock intake.He was on street tires
I ran a 14.43 at 95.16 with a 2.22 60ft.He almost lost with a 14.23 at 104.62
and 2.53 60ft.I rattled him quite a bit before the run.Later in the night think he ran a 13.4!! Fastest car don't always win.win 99 ta

Second run was awesome.This turbo ,nitrous honda civic was trashtalking in lane beside me figure vert would be easy kill maybe thought it was a v6.
Saying their car would run easy 14 or 13..guess the kid just bought the car off some guy and it was supposed to be super fast.He was on street tires.Big mistake!!
I ran a 14.35 at 95.06 with a 2.18 60ft.He ran a 16.54 at 86.78mph with a 2.74 60ft!! He came around again in staging lanes and was beside me for a second time and he called track official and asked to race someone else.. Said that purple camaro was too fast.. win z28

Third run another honda ,de sol? no idea what mods.
I ran a 14.40 at 95.22 with a 2.28 60ft.He ran a blistering 17.05 at 77.7 mph
with a 2.43 60ft.win z28

Fourth thought had my hands full with a nice fox 5.0 vert think auto like mine.Sounded mean figure cam and stuff.
I ran a 14.38 at 94.92 with a 2.2 60ft .He ran a 16.00 at 86.76mph with a 2.51 60ft. win z28

Last run the track was slick and the nittos didn't work well at all.I was up against an older mustang like a mach 1 70s type.It sounded mean and he had a helmet and rollbar required for under 13.99 nhra track.
I ran a 14.41 at 95.33mph with a worst of night 2.34 60ft.He beat me with a 14.04 at 98.34 and a 2.150 60ft on et streets. win mustang.

So won three and almost beat buddies ta due to his street tires and wheelspin and almost tied or mabye would have beat the mustang if could have got a 2.0 60ft but hard that day on unprepped slippery track.

Oh my mods that day were magnaflow catback,3.42 gears,CAI,tb bypass,hpp tuning out,maft,airfoil,holley filter.I think my mph is a bit low maybe due to opti lost water pump a few months back or mabye just need some new plugs and wires or could have been the headwind estimate 40mph.Also had ls1 driveshaft.Thats it for mods.

This year have ready for install vig 2800 stall,asp underdrive balancer,1.6 pro mags nsa and related stuff,CC305 cam and zex wet nitrous.But won't be able to use the spray at track without rollbar and might be kicked if go under 13.5 NA.I am going to say the car is pure stock under new rules and see if can bluff a bit... Also might get some headers this year too.

Also I didn't even bother heating up the nittos for most of the races.They were brand new and track was not prepped so didn't really bother.Also had no line lock and had whiplash and couldn't back up into the water.Just basically ran the nittos like street tires so they didn't do that great.

 

Full bolt on/gears/stalled LT1
99 Hugger Orange SS lol (never went head to head but ran a better 1/4 time).
94 Formula, stock but fast as he!! for a stock LT1 that is
S281 Salleen...kid couldnt drive to save his life
Several Sohc GTs(including 99's and up)
Few 5.0's (cobras included)
Think a dohc Cobra or Two
Countless rice
Alot of junk along w/ many others I cant remember.

Best my car ran was a 13.4@104...That was w/ a busted posi (unable to cut better then 2.0 60's, even on dr's), and a header leak. Its unfortanate at the time I was a broke college student and barely had enough $ to keep gas in the thing....Never repaired any of it and ended up selling the car...Im pretty sure She had 12's in her running 100%...Cars in sig.

i was stock and you were a full bolt on car and you ran a tenth better.congrats.i wouldnt brag but good for you.once i added DRs you were losing every time.


that formula outran you that night head to head when that guy called you out and i remember you crying for a week after.i still have my doubts that car was stock and that guy was baiting you into a race which you fell for. :P


you made 1,yes 1 low 13 sec.pass only in that car and never trapped over 103.at least when i went with you and i doubt it ever trapped higher.


funny how you make excuses for how poorly your car ran but that night you were walking around like you set a world record.


you were well aware what repairs your car needed yet you ran it anyway so accept what it was.


the best thing you did was sell it.no way it had a 12 sec pass in it.not with the mods it had anyway.

...Im well aware I had a ton more mods, your stock LS1 could beat my modded LT1 w/ good traction the same way snormans stock Cobra beat (and from what I read on several sites pretty badly) your modded LS1 (only differance is I didnt have a cam, tune, aftermarket intake, and a huge stall like you)...I just posted it to get a rise outta ya and I see I succedded, My best trap was a bit under 104...ok sorry 103 and change, I honestly forgot the number til I looked at my site just now its been some time, sorry for fibbing on a few 100's of a second.

No one said I wasnt aware of what repairs where needed, and no ones making excuses, I thought it was sad that I couldnt afford to have them repaired..Hence the reason I had my cam and springs sitting in my house for 6 mths then ended up selling them...and fyi the formula and I both ran a 13.7 and I trapped higher, that i remember...and he didnt call me out, he saw me run a similar time when I was staged ahead of him and after Bsin a bit asked me to line up. No one cried about anything for a week, dont know where you got that one from, maybe your mistaken that for the time ya got yanked by a stock 01 Cobra on 37... I dunno . Best 60 I EVER cut was a 2.0, thats w/ stall,dr's, and all, Im sure the car was atleast capable of 1.8's w/ a working posi and the leak fixed, take about 2 tenths off for .1 drop in the 60 and that would put me around a 12 .. You post a few mths back how you were heatin your tires up wrong and I guess finally learned how to launch it after 6 years of ownership, But I forgot you know it all, I didnt have to go there, every trip to the track is a learning process and some take longer then others to pick things up, but you did. Things between us have been civil in my opinion over the net the past you mths, but I see ya had to go and f!ck that all up ..reply back if ya like but Im not playin pitty pat over the net, those days are over...You said your peace I said mine...You dont like me, thats fine I tried...no need for all this....I was expected a little chuckle outta ya not some big Ol defenisve reply calling me a bs'er n such...I was well aware you had the more powerful car.
