to me imports and any other V6 including american cars are not on my level, i will burn them both. I think these V8 guys need to worry about other V8s and let the V6 camaro/firebird, and mustangs F**k wit' the imports and see what they can do.
I got respect for all kinds of cars, I think its really irritating when some people get all cocky wit' their sh*t. Some People with V6 claims to have a real muscle car and they end up pickin' on imports. Some of u guys will say ricers waste their money on japanese cars when they can get "a real muscle car". Take a step back and tell that to urself, why did u waste ur money and bought a v6 when u should've bought an 8. Some import cars out there will take Ya'll V6s stock for stock and then what..?

 

What gets on my nerves when a camaro/firebird driver says " the rice car keeps up w/ours , itsn that sad ? " but they fail to mention that they drive a 94 v6 that runs 17's , and make it sounds as if they have the same machine ! I know alot of people locally that cant distinguish the difference and when a 6 cylinder gets outran they go and tell the world " I outran a Z28 ! " Drives me crazy cause then i got people saying , " my buddie outran a car like your s the other day " There is this guy here that has a 6cyl 98 and he has it dressed up to look just like a SS camaro and he is always trying to race everybody , its hard telling how many people has smoked him and think that they actually smoked a SS . Wich leads me to think that everytime a mini van or celica or 4x4 trys to race me , they act shocked when they get their asses blown off , because at one point intime they beat a V6 posing to be a V8 ......

I dont know where you get youre info......I was driving a 3.4 liter 1995 camaro through vancouver down King George Highway in Surrey.....Joe blow 98 honda prelude was racing me and for the truth of the matter It was a tight race but I smoked his ***.......No mods on my car I was driving and none on his......

I ended up going over the patullo bridge so fast to prove a point that I dint let up like others would and my vehicle ended up skipping three lanes going into the curve on this bridge.....

I will prove it any day any time......
No mods on this one and I expect no mods on that honda and I WILL WIN

But let's not get carried away into a V8 world here. I was talking about my real time encounters and the outcomes. The SI I was racing had some mods on it. (I assume that because it was already lowered and with a modified exaust.) If I bring your point a just a notch down, I can brag about me racing a GEO METRO, which I did, and then brag about how I burned his/her ***.
Seems like it is all about perspective and the attitude of a person who reports a story. For crying out loud, I tried to race a sport bike with 3 people in my car. The guy just vanished, but we both had fun.

Bro, I don't know what exactly you proved! I am sure that a 98 Prelude will smoke a v6 on a freeway for numerous reasons. The top on on the car is higher then ours. They can go faster then 118. The fact that you got into a dangerous position tells me that the other driver probably was older and more careful. (or just more careful) I do not want to get into an argument here, because I never raced a prelude and I have no real time experience with such car. I am not calling you a lier, but I am not convinced.

My buddie has a 98 Si prelude i would bet 500 dollars that i would smoke you in it . you must have raced a non-vtec with someone driving that had the slightest idea of what they where doing . MAchine to machine , you car would loss to a 98 prelude . I know , I drove them both before many times and i watched them run at the track .
No mods on an SI w/a good driver , and you would not win . I guarentee it . its a faster mahcine ! Your 98 camaro v6 is slow stock . Very slow ! a 17 second car toa 15 second 98 prelude . Thats a huge difference . Not saying you didnt win . Driver ability varies . But you made no point !

 

We were in the city from a dead stop.....not on the freeway......

I tried running my car on a track at its hardest and speed was read higher than 118 and was still increasing easily but slowly......(not in the 1/4, god no)

My governor is gone so I now have the edge as I dont have one(so called previous owner removed it, I think he is lyin)

Secondly I did beat him and believe me it was worth it to prove to the world it can be done.......

The other man started it first....I finished it and then got my as* kicked by my wife who was in the car with me for driving recklessly.....

Imports dont win all the time, this was in a work vehicle I used everyday.........You and I both know that the vehicle is only as good as the driver and he was a true rookie.....

So tell me what does V-tec stand for......It is sad because I know that engine inside and out......Pick the size.....1.5, 1.6, or 2.2

Would you like to know the torque settings on that vehicle.......
I know that vehicles flaws so it would not be good to choose this vehicle in a race with me, One step further, doin it in a 4 cylinder just to match the engine size.......I can and will kill that vehicle every time and with a european vehicle of choice.....Or I can choose a rare domestic 4 cylinder you probably never even heard of.....I tell everyone the same thing, hondas are cheap performance....

Bottom line is talk is cheap.....

One last note

V-tec stands for variable timing electronic control......
Similar to domestic vortech as it advances the timing while getting on it for maximum programmed performance.....

I dont think I will reply anymore it is useless.......I know from 20 years of high performance experience but what good is it to someone who is set in their beliefs.......

SO you got a 94 , stock v6 comaro to run a 15 ? I have never seen it done . I go to the track ALL OF THE TIME i have seen many run , I have drove them . I have seen LT1's that was just below 15 ! . Your are right the driver makes the car , and yeah talk is cheap . Im not just talking though ! I stand bye everytyhing i say , I and I know in my head that a prelude Si will outrun a v6 camaro 97 and under " exept 98+200hp ". Unless like you said , rookie driver .

Anyone who says that a V6 or 4 banger just isn't in his class needs to seriously wake up. There are some mighty quick 4 and 6 cylinder cars out there...hell the Buick GN had a turboed 6 in it, and most people are scared to death to race them (and for good reason)

It might be Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control. I don't feel like looking it up. I think it's the first one though.

my friend ran a 00' H22 prelude and hit 16.2 @ 5800ft. ... thats like 15.1 at sea level ...

i dont think the 3400 fbodys can run that fast. but hey desertwind, you said you tuned it? fixed flaws?? be more specific, what did u change?
