Not so, I have an '04 WRX wagon and there is a lot of potential left in it. You put on headers (adds about 30-40 hp), a boost controller(set at 16 psi), a decent turbo back exhaust, and it makes a lot more power. So, you are wrong, there is a lot left in those boxer engines. But, I agree with you, there are probably not too many WRX's that are a match for a well tuned Camaro (coming from an F-bod owner).

The problem here is you are driving a V6 camaro, you are mad that you lost to an SI, and now you are somehow saying that because your V6 lost, then us guys with V8s are in trouble as well. That's a crock of s hit. We talk about racing here in the kill stories forum, not interior quality, or how long cars lasted. We talk about who beat who.

You can make a V6 fast....... you can make a four cylinder fast. However, you have basically a stock V6, it's a base model, and it's not meant to be fast. If you want it to be fast, then you need to do some work to it. If you put about a 75 shot on there I can garauntee you'll wipe the road with most 4 cylinders that you come across.

I would expect more of a car enthusiast. Calling an inline 4 a v4 is just plain dumb. What makes you think I own a white Chevy? I don't.

So you are saying add headers ONLY (not K&N, not cat back, not up pipe, not down pipe, not boost controller, etc) to a bone stock WRX and you get 30-40 horsepower? I seriously doubt it. Prove it.

1. My friend has an 00 Firebird v6, she annihilated my buds 00 celica GTS

2. No V6's aren't all that. thats why there are V8's.

3. Yes you should respect all other cars, except fords.

i have a question:

How come, when I mention I drive a civic, v-6 fbod owners never say shiat, but the v-8 boys are always the ones to talk some ish?

Swap or not, we only increase displacement by 0.2-0.3 liters.......(1.5 -> 1.8 liter) so its not like all of a sudden its a class of its own

I think u guys are too sensitive, too paranoid...too quick to call troll on anyone that says anything non-domestic praising

Who cares. U'll never be the fastest. So a pos civic is faster than you boo hoo, dont get all pissed off, call the guy a troll. Just take comfort in the fact that u spent more money for a "safer" car that still has a/c and power steering, and will get the fly bitches any day

Nah, what this guy is saying is that because his V6 camaro got beat by an SI that we all should bow down to japanese cars He first starts with "wow an SI can beat a V6 camaro".......... well of course it can! A V6 camaro is not meant to be fast from the factory, the SI is meant to be a performer. Then he starts talking about supras vs. Fbodies(which thank god no one really got into that argument).

I like imports more than most on this board do, but holy ****, if you don't want to get beat by an SI then get a V8 and quit bitching!!!!!!!! Or mod your V6.

30-40 hp is a lot, but it's not unbelievable. It's a turbo car. They react to mods (especially exhaust mods) much differently than a N/A car.

It's not that big guy. I was a 'ricer' then went with a V8.
Now, you have a fast Civic, from what i can tell from you posting here, fine no prob.
Now, some guys like on this site that talk ****, think like we all do, and you too if you could come off of the Honda high horse.
Any Mustang/Z28, with the same work you have, would be what on the street/track?
About a mile or so ahead........anyway, i call BS on the WRX header adding 30-40hp too.
Many a WRX around here, and even the 'modded' if you would call it that, had trouble with my 4cly. Anywho

My lil 4cyl didn't need a swap either

Yes, thats exactly what it means. thats a 20% increase in displacement. If we increased our 350ci engines by 20% that would be 420ci.. .Doesn't that seem like a big deal to you? You guys do the same stuff we do, but your cars weigh half as much so everything is on a smaller scale...
