Well.. I needed to get a new clutch slave cylinder for my Z so my best friend Eric and I are going out to West Seneca, about a half an hour drive from my house, to get to Advanced Auto for the part. So, we're driving along the 400 in Eric's '96 Olds Cutlass. Nice car, but fast it is not. We are driving, and out of the corner of my eye I see something that resembled a mustang. I second-glance, and then keep looking forward thinking it's just some POS v6. Then it dawns on me; that had the Cobra fascia, etc.. and just as I relized this, Eric's like "Whoa Matt.. there's a Cobra". Just as Eric said this to me, we hear a decently loud supercharger-whine start winding up. We look over to see this SVT fly by us, and the owner giving us a cocky "I drive a fast car, bow down to me look", and I got pissed off so I told eric to catch up to him. We caught up, and Eric punched it. The SVT didn't move. We kept driving, and trying to go door to door w/ the SVT so we could get a "run" in (very loose term when we are talking about a freaking Cutlass vs SVT Cobra). Guy wouldn't budge. Just before our offramp came up,the guy in the SVT finally punched it. It was more like a half-throttle punch, but nontheless, he took a run. He totally killed us. The SVT let up long before we caught up, and by time we caught up, we had hit 105. Our offramp finally came up, and we were bummed But "WHOA".. the SVT was following us We keep going until we come up to a red-light. We then lined up w/ the SVT. He rolled his window down, eric put his down as well. The SVT owner was like "Going a little fast back there eh?" Eric; "Ya, just a little". SVT owner; "Going a little bit over the speedlimit?". Eric; "About 2 times over.". We laughed. We both told the dude he had a super nice car, and we shot the **** about it for the minute while the light was red. The guy revved a few times, eric and matt had insta-boners. After the light turned green, we both took off, the SVT chirping second. Obviously, the SVT wasn't trying very hard at all, but he was a good distance ahead of us. The owner turned out to be very kool

^lol ya they are; I LOVE taht supercharger whine they have; too bad the dude didn't really get on it so I could *truly* hear it roar

 

Good runs, I love those old classic cars. 96 Cutlus, 93 Grand Am, 88 Citation, you know the classics.

^Yup, I know exactly what your talking about; Eric was driving his moms blue Cutlas, and Eric has the like a '95 Cutlas (gold) and he loves that too. Eric is a Olds fanatic, he LOVES the OLDER Cutlas's. Well, so do I.. but if it weren't for Eric I wouldn't love those cars
