Re: Friend dies in the SS Saturday

I 100% agree with CANTONRACER, hes not saying anything to be rude or harsh, just the facts. It sucks that he died, but its a godsent that he didn't take his passengers life, or an innocent bystanders life in the process. I would have never agreed with his statement up until just over a year ago because i used to drink and drive occasionally, and i have friends that do it often. The thing that opened my eyes was a situation just like CANTONRACER described. A dark road with a large curve where many drunks and young kids have wrecked before, kid drunk in his 02' Lexus...my best friend also drunk in the passenger seat. He was driving much too fast, misjudged the corner hit a telephone pole, then a large tree after jumping a ditch. My friend was ejected from the car through the window. The car burst into flames, and the man that lived in the house next door ran out to try to help. The driver was so drunk he couldn't even get out of the car, so he would have burned alive....but the house owner pulled him out of the wreckage. He happened to be drunk enough that he didnt think to look for Dillan(my friend), nor did he tell anybody about him. 20 minutes later the fireman found Him laying in the ditch 15 feet away from the car, too late for any help. He died before he got to the hospital. What happened to the driver....nothing he was healed and back to normal activity in a matter of weeks, he didn't even get a DWI.

Sorry for the rant, and sorry for your loss but please think before you get behind the wheel, innocent people are loosing there lifes because of stupidity.
