Re: Friend dies in the SS Saturday

I share cantonracer's attitude towards drunk drivers. I feel pity for the driver's passenger and his family, but I have little sorrow for him. 11 years ago, I went out with a good friend of mine to celebrate her acceptance into college and her birthday. I had to leave the party early and hugged her good night and left. The next morning, I got a call from a mutual friend telling me that she was struck by a drunk driver while crossing the street at a lit crosswalk. She died 1 day shy of her 18th birthday.

Your right...I do have a bad attitude towards people that have no care of others on the road.

I agree with Canton. I have had to clean up way too many aftermaths. Sorry for your personal loss, but I regret the loss of the SS more than the driver. I hope the passenger recovers but everything else was Natural Selection at work.

Man, some people are unreal. There is a time and place for everything, and I don't think the time is now to tell this guy how his friend deserved to die. Sorry about your loss man. Keep your head up.

Yeah, so your sorry about this kid that might have possibly killed innocent people because his drunk *** was to stupid not to just park the car and call for a ride?

Dick or not...I call it how I see it and I would rather be a dick than a idiot.

Hey canton, when you lose a friend or family member because they were doing something stupid I guess you will have no sorrow for them either? You baffle me.

Re: Friend dies in the SS Saturday

Let's rehash what happened here....

Guy gets drunk. Guy gets in car and kills himself. Guy almost kills his friend. Luckily others did not get killed.

This has nothing to with me...just my voicing my opinion.

Any loss of life is unfortunate...but I have no sorrow for drunk drivers (and what they bring upon themselves) and the damage they unleash on the roads.

If you want to get bent because of that...who cares?

Re: Friend dies in the SS Saturday

I think everyone's opinion on drunk driver's are probably the same, or close to it. I think this guy is probably telling us that his friend died looking for support, not to hear somebody tell him what an a$$hole he was for driving drunk. You have no respect for him on a board where everyone is supposed to be a "family" if you continue to bash his friend instead of offering your support. This is the most pathetic $hit I have ever read in my life. I can't believe anyone here would write some of the things they did. Even though everyone is entitled to there own opinion, there is a time and place for everything. Why don't you start up your own thread about how you guys hate drunk drivers and have no sympathy for them instead of voicing it here.

Re: Friend dies in the SS Saturday

I'm sorry to hear that...My Uncle was a passenger in a car, both occupants drunk...his friend lost control and hit a fire extinguisher (went into the pass. side), my Uncle collapsed after they cut him out of the car....never got back up...I hope the passenger recovers and my prayers go out to you and other friends and family of your buddy.

Canton, I see where your coming from, but trust me, its totally different when its your loved one involved in such an incident. My family (including me) has forgiven my Uncle's friend...

Yeah...I am the donkey's a$$...strange, don't seem to recall getting drunk, driving, killing myself, almost killing my friend...luckily not killing others that had nothing to do with my stupid decision.

What type of sympathy are you looking for when you post your drunk friend killed himself. You want some flowers? So quit being a douchebag and UNDERSTAND what I am saying.
